  6. ^ 3G on 900MHz won't happen. As per the auction queries and answers, only the spectrum given away through this auction (ie. 1800 and 800 MHz) is liberalized. Not the existing bands.
  7. I am on Simple PPM plan (the older one launched in 2009 with all calls at 50p incl. roaming). If I recharge with 74 STV what will happen after 6 months. I will go back to base tariff of Rs.1 or to this simple PPM?

  9. It was indeed bouncing back and was not getting delivered that day. I received reply when I send another one yesterday. Looks like they shutdown their email servers at night.

  13. I am using both RGSM and RCDMA and enjoying both equally now. I agree RGSM voice may not be comparable to RCDMA but its definitely improving... Their EDGE speeds are pretty good around 20KB/s and occasionaly 28KB/s. Such speeds were never seen in Idea, BSNL or others. RGSM needs to expand their coverage which I guess will be slow in light of RCOM's financial condition. Seems they are waiting for final Telecom policy incl. 3G roaming pacts so that unnecessary capex can be prevented.
  14. Friends, Need to urgently buy a new monitor as my 19" viewsonic is not working anymore. Please pour in your suggestions on the best available monitor in the market. I think will go for 19" and above as anything below will be difficult to get used to
  15. ^ yes STV 74 is not applicable to RCDMA. I tried to recharge online and it failed.

  18. very nice move... I think both Reliance Digital TV and Tata sky also can implement this feature through firmware updates as both have USB ports.

    ^ well, as I said the phone has only WAP access over GPRS. I am not using it for surfing as I have LG P500 for that. This one is just for keeping my CDMA and one other GSM as back up. Battery life is good. I get 1.5 days stand by with one GSM and CDMA SIM with mainly voice usage and some texting.

    Recently bought this phone from Letsshop.in for Rs.2832 (Rs.3332 - Rs.500 discount coupon). Its a very basic C+G+G qwerty phone good for talking and messaging. No EDGE support, only WAP over GPRS.

    My experience of porting is not great the second time. I gave request at Web World to port out from BSNL to RGSM. Paid Rs.50 for SIM. Waited for 2 weeks !! Received no SMS. Web world people have no clue... *333 tells to contact web world... Rs.50 gone down the drain... !!
