  1. Airtel is insane. 6GB limit for a 4mbps plan!!
  2. Bharti adds 2.9 mln users in Feb: Industry Bharti Airtel Ltd, India's top mobile operator, added 2.9 million mobile users in February and took its total subscribers to 124.6 million, data released by an industry body showed on Thursday. Third-ranked Vodafone Essar, controlled by Vodafone, signed up 3.09 million mobile users last month, to boost its total to 97.2 million, the Cellular Operators Association of India said. Fifth-ranked Idea Cellular gained 2.26 million mobile subscribers, taking its total to 62.1 million. Source Vodafone overtakes Airtel in monthly additions once again.
  3. Reliance Gsm Call Divert/forward

^^^ yes call divert is working at my side too.
  4. Congrats RCOM  can we old users have our gifts for making RCOM cross this milestone. Just some calculation... RCOM was launched on 22.12.2002 Till Feb'10 it completed 8 years+2 months=98 months. So average subscriber addition for that period = 1.02 million Now some future prediction... Aims 100 million more subscribers in 1000 days(33.33 months) Target future monthly additions = 3 million!! Last month addition was at 2.8 million(?)
  5. Bsnl Should do away with Telecom Circles - what say?

Talking of BSNL LL, I just had a look at my previous two bills. Both had "Number of calls : 0". If it was not for Broadband, no one seems to be willing to take LL.
  6. Word Assosiation

    Road
  7. Is this a pointer towards new plans from BSNL for wired BB (like the new MTNL plans)? If we take 1Mbps as average EVDO speed, BSNL may give 1Mbps UL@750 for Dataone?
  8. Is there Free Local Calls From Landline in India?

Got it.. Plan 699 and Plan 799 offering UL Local MTNL and UL MTNL(Delhi+Mumbai) respectively. http://mumbai.mtnl.net.in/telecomservices/telephoneconnect0.html#ataglance Once the tariff war shifts to LL(hopefully with BB penetration) we can expect UL calls within BSNL network nationwide.
  9. Is there Free Local Calls From Landline in India?

It will be the case here too but the fixed cost per month would be high. MTNL is already offering Unlimited calls to LL within Mumbai, I think.
  10. Please suggest a freeware which has the capability to keep two folders in sync on the same computer. I read about syncToy from MS, but seems it does not support scheduling. Any other software?
  11. Lets Ask Arun

^^^ Let's open a sub-forum under "BIG TV" to discuss other DTH operators also. What say, Arun?
  12. Any Stel customers here? Has STel shut off their network today?
  13. How on earth can DoT order a company to stop operation one fine day; without any notice period. Isn't DoT properly studying the company before granting license.
  14. Unlimited Free Calls To Rcdma And Rgsm

^^^ Does R2R include RGSM to RCDMA also?
  15. Sync Folders

Thanks a ton, Hitesh,Sumit and Harshal for the suggestions. Allway Free is the one for me. Does the job perfect
  16. why only CDMA. why not compensate for DoCoMo customers also? nice initiative though!
  17. Sync Folders

well, any suggestion for a freeware?
  18. Etisalat may become one of the 3G holders; but I seriously doubt Etisalat's willingness to bring/sustain a lower tariff structure. See the quote from wiki:
  19. ^^^ We can never under-estimate the small-ops like Idea/AirCel and the mighty Etisalat! They may spun a surprise and Rcom or Voda or Airtel may be one of the losers.
  20. very good! Now is the time to enjoy free incoming while roaming. But STV cost is too high!
  21. I really doubt if any one operator actually wins pan India 3G spectrum. It is more likely to be fragmented with operators bidding for selective circles. In fact I fear complete discard of C circles!!
  22. Just for record.. Source If one looks at spectrum held based on technology, Airtel holds the highest.
  23. Its GSM+GSM. Is there a CDMA model with these specs from fly?
