I am unable to get "Mark as Read" button for all posts. Earlier whenever i used to search for new posts, I used to get a global "Mark as Read" button.

Need it for my mother. Need a Dual Sim (GSM+CDMA) with both the sims active at the same time. Absolutely budget handset with no extra feature required so cheaper the best. I don't want any Chinese or Chinese copy cats (Micromax, Karbonn etc). She is using Coolpad 188 which has started to give problems. --TIA

A friend is looking for android mobile and his budget is 12k. He is thinking of buying unlocked Nexus one from Amazon USA for $260 See here. Somebody is coming over and can get it so no shipping to India etc. I was asking him to get at least a Nexus S as Nexus one is couple of years old now. But he is not ready to stretch the budget from 12k. Is buying a Nexus one good idea? is there any better *Android* phone in this price range which can be bought from India or USA(unlocked)? --TIA

I have a LED clock that i bought from USA. it works on 110V AC. It keeps time even when the power goes off. Unfortunately the person who brought it plugged it into India power supply without a step down transformer and something went wrong. Now the clock works but as soon the power goes off the time is reset. My apartment complex has a power backup but the backup needs couple of minutes to kick in. I can buy a UPS and run the clock from it but it will a overkill for a clock. I just need something which can give backup to this clock. Any ideas would be appreciated. -TIA Kuldeep

It sure is outdated. But the original question was to whether it makes sense to buy it at 12k or not? Nexus S is in 18-19K range. If money was not criteria, I would suggest my friend to buy Galaxy S2.

Need 2 Minute Power Backup For A Led Clock
kkdeep replied to kkdeep's topic in General Technical Discussion
Thanks everybody for replies. The clock needs a 9V external backup battery and i tried using a new one and it does not work. So as you rightly said some power circuit is damaged. I need to find somebody who can repair it. >>Clock being reset shown a malfunction in the battery backup cricuit. This should not be too difficult to diagnose and fix I have no idea who can do it >> may be u can use a delhi made DC to AC converter - its cheaper few 100 than inverter Please give me a bit more details on this, From where Can i buy this and all. BTW following is the clock-radio i am talking about. Homedics Soundspa -
Guys, Thanks everybody for replying. He is a GSM user so CDMA is out of question. @Mufaddal I am not aware that the Nexus S is available for $260 price range. Infact I had suggested him the same phone. But it is coming around $400 and he is not ready to stretch to that. Do i have to bid to get that price from Ebay, as all listing seems to be around $375-$450 range See here for ebay USA -TIA

It is high time Nokia switches to Android otherwise they are just going to die. They can do wonders with Android. This merger (if true) is bad for consumers. I would hate to see a company like Nokia going down. They should reinvent themselves with Android.

Updated Reliance Netconnect+ Prepaid and PostPaid Plans
kkdeep replied to Arun's topic in Data services
They should have 500 MB to 1GB for low usage customers. It can be with lower speed but price should be within Rs 100. That kind of plan will make sense for lot of casual users. -

Thanks for clarification. Then this upwards revision means nothing . Now I know why people call TRAI toothless tiger
-
The definition has been revised upwards to 512 kbps effective Jan 1, 2011. See TechBuzz and Broadband Forum
-
i don't know how these guys call these plans as broadband plans with 256kbps speed. As per TRAI minimum should be 512 kbps.

Someone need to be real die-hard Nokia fan to pay such a high price for a Symbian (read outdated) phone.

Ported my prepaid Airtel number to RGSM because wife has 440 plan on RCDMA. Porting finally happened on 5th March. So far no signal and other issues with RGSM and they seem to have put me on per second billing (1p/sec for STD/Local).
