I've bought an LG 2130 from Reliance Webworld in Mumbai and a data cable. I'm happily using RConnect at the moment... especially as it doesn't seem to be costing me anything. I was told the phone comes with Rs 50 talktime, but I have used far more than that and RConnect still connects ok. Can anyone explain to me why this may be happening and what the consequences could be? Also can you tell me how I check my balance? Thankyou for your help.

mIRC is not dangerous at all, unless you are extremely paranoid. If you are really worried then use another client like Bersirc. The ping method does not work for me in preventing dormancy.

To keep my connection alive I use mIRC and join a very busy channel. The constant messages make sure real data is always being exchanged and not just pings.

hehe, how do I found out what this negative balance is exactly? I can't believe I'm going to have to go to Webworld and complain that I'm getting free internet

Dear all, I would like to get the R Connect Data card for my laptop but first I need to know whether it will provide a suitable connection for me. I play online poker at Partypoker (www.partypoker.com) and I'd love to find out if this is possible over R Connect. I would be hugely grateful if someone could download the Partypoker software and see if it connects ok. If anyone can help me I promise to buy them a huge dinner when I'm in their town

I guess not many people have this card yet. It does seem overly expensive. Perhaps a normal USB Cable/phone user could test for me?
