Reliance Profits From Users Loss (4 new schemes)
niket replied to Greens's topic in Reliance Communications
Every single company do business for profit..!! I think Techtree guy should come with real figures that tell in how much price reliance buy product form LG and sell us. If LG sells them by cutting their price then I don't think that LG allow reliance to make much profit from their product... any company will never do this type of business. LG is a big company not dependent only on Reliance. And more over Techtree guys says that in first scheme prepaid buyer just paying surplus money of Rs.20 (everyone knows that it is actually Rs.2500) now surplus money is Rs.2, 675 (even now it is actully it is Rs.2800 with 2280 and Rs. 3300 for Rd2030 and Rd2230 ).. whats the diff between previous and new scheme .. diff is now more option of handsets... thats all And first offer is only promotional offer... like DAPO for postpaid. -
it has green backlight.. and soft touch keypad..!!

dapoedbyreliance, I earlier said that check your R-connect with other M/Cs and tell us the results.. so if your PC may be affected by any worm or trojan. I am telling this because u get speed for first min and then after your connection becomes slow. Best way to try this is on Linux box.. -

Well guys, First ask one question to ourself Why should Reliance need to take such step? Just keep clean this site form any illegal activity that can affect reliance. so we never have to face such problem. Now, around only 700 users here but... In future also "RIMweb.com should remain open platform. Free from any influence by reliance."

Why Does My Rconnect Become Dormant Always
niket replied to dapoedbyreliance's topic in Data services
dapoedbyreliance, When we connect to R-connect it shows like this on phone screen R>>>>>> T >>>>> So, Tell how many bars normally shows on your phone After 'R' And After 'T'. And Check your R-connect with other Two-Three comp also. and tell us the results. -
Not works.. at#pmode=1 returns error. this code doesn't exist for N191. because at#pmode? and at#pmode=? also not works.

ravi, Tell us that it is worth to spend 14K bucks.. Is keypad is good compared to LG ? In R-World games runs faster or slower? It is a good build phone or poorly build (compared to samsung)? camera result is acceptable? If answers are positive then I will surely add my self in GTRAN club.

Yeah, U r right there is no sub grouping reqd.. for Technical/Prog section. If any topic handset specific then mention it in Title.. it is enough. But static can decide on that.

Chirag, Only "RIM services" needed Re-structure. All other are well placed and well defined. RIM services should be broken in to three parts like "Postpaid" "Prepaid" and "Shared Things".

A SIM Card will be provided to the customer, this SIM card when used with a GSM handset will enable a RIM customer to receive all calls made to his/her number as well as make outgoing calls while travelling in any of the 172 countries. RIM customers using Removable User Identification (RUIM) Card enabled handsets such as GTran GCP 4020 and Telson TWC 1150 can activate International roaming feature on their RUIM card and use it with a GSM Handset. International Roaming facility will allow a RIM subscriber to receive all his incoming calls and SMS messages sent on the RIM number in India on his GSM SIM card / RUIM Card provided by Reliance. "It is for the first time that a global roaming facility has been made available by a CDMA operator on GSM networks on such a large scale. With this unique roaming service Reliance IndiaMobile is adding another dimension to its services, where RIM customers can get the dual benefit of receiving calls or SMS outside India forwarded from their existing number and getting a consolidated bill for their global roaming as well as regular calls at their billing address in India," said Mr. SP Shukla, President - Wireless Products & Services, Reliance Infocomm Ltd. Reliance Infocomm launches multi-player gaming on RIM handsets· Brings multi-player mobile gaming first time to India DAKC (Dhirubhai Ambani Knowledge City), Navi Mumbai March 22, 2004 Reliance Infocomm has announced the launch of India's first multiplayer game suite on R World services available for Reliance IndiaMobile customers. The new range of Multiplayer games will strengthen the existing bouquet of over 50 games offered over R World by Reliance Infocomm. Multiple RIM customers can now play games with each other anywhere across India over Reliance IndiaMobile phones. "With over 6 million Java enabled handset users, we already have a potential user base for high-end mobile gaming. Our current set of mobile games are already receiving a phenomenal response, with games enjoying millions of downloads in a month," says Mahesh Prasad, President, Applications Solutions Group, Reliance Infocomm Ltd. "The objective now is to elevate mobile games to the next plateau by engaging multiple users playing a game with each other. We see a huge opportunity in mobile multi-player games that could add a whole new dimension to the wireless entertainment & communication." Reliance Infocomm has initiated a unique programme under the 'Dhirubhai Ambani Developers Programme' that encourages independent software vendors (ISVs) to develop unique applications including games for Reliance IndiaMobile. Thanks to this unique initiative, today RIM users enjoy a vast array of applications including mobile games on its R World suite of data applications. The launch of Multiplayer mobile games is one such major achievement where the multiplayer games, the game engine, and the technology to support these games have been developed by Paradox Studios, one of India's premier game developers. Dhruva Infotech, Game Trix, Nazara Technologies, and Tinfo Mobile are a few other developers who have helped popularize gaming on R World. "We are proud to be associated with reliance Infocomm in bringing multiplayer mobile gaming to India. The technology to support these multi-player games has been entirely developed in India and several man-months of efforts have gone into the optimization of these games on the wireless networks in a multi-player environment," Says Anurag Khurana, CEO Paradox Studios. Reliance Infocomm has introduced two-player games including Tic Tac Toe, Tac Tix, and Dots and will soon launch four-player games such as Video Poker and Teen Patti (the Indian version of 'Flush') in the near future. All multiplayer games have a built-in Ladder System (High Score System). The new multiplayer games can be accessed through "New Releases" under Games section of R World and one can select a particular multiplayer game from the menu. Currently the partner for your multiplayer game is selected by a Quick Match system where different RIM users logging in for multiplayer game will be selected at random for two-player or four-player games. "We are also working on options where the RIM user can invite a partner for the game by sending an automatically generated message to friends while logging on to the multiplayer games. We will also offer an option where the RIM users can create their own 'Room' where friends can be invited to join in for the multi-player games," added Mr. Khurana. Due to the always on, anytime, anywhere packet data transfer capability of CDMA 1x RTT network of Reliance Infocomm, the interactive applications such as multi-player gaming is possible for the first time in India. A handful of operators in the world have multi-player game capability. Initially, multi-player games are introduced on colour phones and soon would be made available to all Reliance IndiaMobile handsets that support R World services. About R-World The Java-based R-world suite of Reliance IndiaMobile Internet applications is unique in India and the world. It enables the introduction of complex Internet applications on mobile phones. R World currently showcases games in categories like Arcade, Board, Puzzles, Cards, Casinos, Sports and Mixed Bag. Reliance Info to raise Rs 5,000 crore. Source: Business Standard, March 27, 2004 Reliance Infocomm is raising Rs 5,000 crore from a consortium of banks through an eight-year facility, with a three-year moratorium on repayment. The exact quantum of interest rate is not known but sources said the loan would be finely priced. It could probably be lower than the Reserve Bank’s bank rate, which is pegged at 6 per cent now. The resources will go into expanding Reliance Infocomm’s network. This is one of the largest fund-raising exercises in recent times by any telecom company. A clutch of banks, including State Bank of India, Allahabad Bank, ICICI Bank, IDBI Bank, Bank of India, Corporation Bank and Union Bank of India, have decided to participate in this loan syndication. When contacted, Reliance Infocomm spokesperson declined comment. However, sources say that the banks have agreed to extend the line of credit depending on Reliance Infocomm’s investment plans. In fact, they claim that “the amount can exceed Rs 5,000 crore as and when it (Reliance Infocomm) actually draws the amount from the consortium”. Reliance Infocomm has already invested Rs 18,000 crore to lay over 60,000 km terabit capacity optic fibre network covering over 600 cities. The company is expected to utilise funds to expand its optic fibre network which will eventually cover 116,000 km to connect 2,500 towns and cities of the country.

TRAI's to Protect Users From Too Much Choice. Source: Voice&Data, March 09, 2004 TRAI has released a consultation paper on limiting the tariff plan options that access providers can offer. The main issues on which it seeks consultation are: the number plans to be permitted, the identification of service segments for the application of the proposed cap, desirability of having a minimum validity period for tariff plans, and the criteria in respect of tariff toppings and promotional offers. With the freedom to offer tariff plans, providers have flooded the market with a large number of plans. While variety of choice is a welcome development, TRAI contends that too many plans confuse the customers and render informed choice difficult. As many as 3925 tariffs were reported to TRAI by the basic and mobile service providers alone in 2003. By September 2003, 1421 plans were on offer all over India-an average 42 plans per circle. In addition, about 500 plans were offered as promotional schemes. The number of plans is likely to go up when new operators enter the circles. TRAI seeks comments/suggestions from all stakeholders latest by 27 March 2004.

Store All GSM mobile number in ISD format solves all problem for on N191. it works in SMS , Local Call and STD calls also. And for Landline & RIM numbers store them in STD format.. Thats simple and works all time. More over that.. For every entry u can store 6 numbers on N191 so there is no Problem at all.. store all diff format numbers per entry.. so u can always see name. ( I don't know how it works on RD2030 )
