Even I used Winamp 2.91 untill last year or so... have given up on it after jetAudio [Awesome on android as well] Never been able to wrap my head around Windows media player

Quick tip for using HCC on phones which dont show keypad while activating on *228 Use the Add Wait feature available in dial-pad, screenshots attached for help. Sample dial string will be: *228;1;123456789;1 *228 - number of course to dial 1 - for choosing English option, can be replaced by any other language option 123456789 - number printed on HCC 1 - is for confirming HCC number that you have input Have used this trick on S2 and Galaxy nexus and works like charm. More tips: - Increase the screen timeout to 5 - 10 mins as the prompts will now show if screen shuts down - Put call on speaker mode / increase call volume, basically dont bring near ear coz the screen will switch off coz of proximity sensor and prompts will not come up. I had activated the MobileNet49 on last months 25th and 49 rs were deducted from my balance day before yesterday without sending any request for activation. Since this is a non auto renewal plan, means i was incorrectly charged. And on top of that didnt get any Data balance or validty and balance is currenly getting deducted from my core balance if I try to use data now. Got two blank SMS from reliance though on 25th which I ignored and dont remember the number now... that must be when the plan got reactivated i assume. Have raised this issue on support and was assured that the balance will be reverted back within 48 hours... so lets see. Please check your balance to see if anyone else had similar issue.

So still no way to get correct usage i suppose ?

@ all mopho owners I am planning to change my handset and this phone is in top of the list, i went through this thread and what gather is that mostly the issue are in GSM mode. My query is if the phone is operated in CDMA mode "Only", will there be any issues with Voice/SMS/Data ? If this is already answered then please direct me to the post ( & sorry ) TIA.

I think it depends more on youy need, as you have mentioned 5x zoom, then i guess you might be more interested in outdoor photography. In general dslr offer better image quality (especially in low light), more flexibility in comparison to p&s.... but if you are going to use dslr mostly in auto mode, better stick to p&s. Also the kit lens which comes with dslr in general are 18-55mm lens which after talking in account the crop factor (focal length multiplier; 1.6 in general for entry level canon/1.5 for nikon) evaluates to something around 29mm to 88mm (approx 3x) The Nikon s210 camera you already have has equivalent focal length of 38 – 114 mm, so you can have an idea what the kit lens offers you. The cheapest ( decent ) telephoto lens for canon is 55 - 250mm IS ( 88 - 400mm after focal length multiplier ) which costs around 11-12k, so even if you get and entry level canon dslr 1100D for around 28-29K the over all cost is already touching 40k One final word is that in general dslr` require more maintenance if you use multiple lenses etc, you`ll have to get a lens cleaner kit and even get sensor cleaned is the need be.

Hello RimWeb Veterans, One of my friends is coming back from US this month and i`m planning to buy Droid Incredible from Ebay. From what i can see, i can get Mint condition ( Bad ESN) for $150 or more without any hassle. I would say that i am competent enough with gadgets in general but a rookie as far as Android / Rooting etc is concerned. From what i can sum after going through this forum is that i`ll need to Root the phone, load custom Rom, load the Reliance PRL etc to make it work here in India. So for this could any of you be generous enough to help me out with links/guides (Incredible specific would be highly appreciated) so that i can make the phone work here in India. I currently have phone which uses RUIM. I stay in Vashi (Navi Mumbai) and if any of you could help me out personally with same please PM me the charges for same and i`ll come back to you on it if it seems reasonable.
