Sumit, first of all thanks a lot for searching all the stuff, though that didn't help me unfortunately. As I had already given try to the disk management option in my Win7PC but today I again tried that option in WinXP (both SP2 & SP3). It shown me messages like - Installing drivers and drivers installed successfully. In the disk management, It shows me a new drive "F" but without any media/storage as normally shown in case of an empty card reader or empty DVD drive. The only better thing with WinXP is that at least it is shown in the disk management as an empty drive, whereas in Win7 it was not. Attaching here the screen shot of the window. Regards

@ Yes, Dr Muffadal, I can, but there also I see only the flash memory of 256 MB and not the 4GB internal storage. Tried WM6.5 also, no help. I have read some where that connecting with Mac can help, I will locate one and then try connecting with that.

Dear, I have tried all the three options (i.e. last three from drop down list in clear storage option) , in fact first of all I tried the option you are telling me, as the option of repair was required to be done only after the internal storage fix. I had tried almost all methods given any where on XDA/PPC, tried installing latest Sprint ROM, Old Sprint ROM with Internal Storage Hotfix, Few WM6.1 custom ROMs (Mighty4 and OMJ). There is no worry of any data, I already have Pim Backup and MS Myphone backup. Everything is normal while connecting with WMDC or Active sync except that It is not showing me the internal storage either in active sync (WinXP) or WMDC (Win7), it only shows the flash memory. I think, I should give a try to any WM6.5 ROM, may be that have some drivers to detect the internal storage, or may be there are some registry changes that can help, or if there is something in CDMA W/s of QPST to deal with this issue, please advice. Dear All, I am facing a strange problem with Sprint Diamond, I can't access its internal storage. This is what may have gone wrong:- I formatted my internal storage from my Windows7 PC while the diamond was connected in disk drive mode. After that I could never detect the internal storage either through my phone or PC. This is what I had already tried for recovery: 1) Flashing diamond with sprint stock ROM (old one) and installing Internal Storage Hot fix provided on HTC support for sprint. Installation completed successfully and phone rebooted. Thereafter, I went to the clear storage in settings and tried the option "Repair and format internal storage" (as guided by HTC support) but after formating upto 90% it displays error message that internal storage can't be accessed. 2). Tried to access the internal storage through Disk Management service on my Win7 PC, but not detected there also. In the device manager, in the devices, it shown me a storage device without drivers. So at least it is detected by my PC but its drivers couldn't be installed properly. Please check the attached pictures. 3). Tried to connect (in disk drive mode) on Windows XP PC, it detects a new hardware and try to install the drivers, but no success. 4). And finally, I tried with official HTC service centre here in Delhi, but as exepected they just upgraded my diamond with latest ROM and given me back saying it is a hardware issue and I have to get its motherboard changed. So now I am with a WM device withouut storage and the forum is my last hope for help. Regards

check samsung st1000 with bluetooth, touch screen, wifi for face book etc and gps for geo tagging. not available in india with samsung otherwise cost somewhere around 300 dollars at ebay. I am checking with one of my freind in dubai to get one for me. I think it will meet all your requirments at the best. You are right Anurag, there is no beep for call waiting, though call waiting is working. Very strange problem, I looked for many other forums but couldn't even find any one posting any such problem. I will try some alert software like berrybuzz and alikes, let see if any of these helps. I also found one software called Missedcall on website "www.barrymax.cn" (Chinese website) but I couldn't get myself registered for downloading that. Please try if you can get that software, it may help us. one more thing you will get the call waiting option in the cdma mode on bb 8830 but not on gsm mode. anyway that option doesn't help as I think it has the codes / dialing for sprint network Tarun Tarun I'v searched & found that many other users are also facing the same problem. But in none of the forums there was'nt any solution to this problem, the only conclusion which they had reached was to 'contact your service provider'. I dont thoink that any third party software is going to work. The only solution could be installing another version of OS. First I flashed my 8830 & downgraded to Sprint ver 4.2.2.123 but in this ver there was a big error in call waiting. Although i was able to hear the call waiting 'beep' but as soon as the 2nd caller disconnects his call my first call automatically used to go to speakerphone & there was no way through which i could shut the speakerphone the only way was to pull the battery & restart. Then I upgraded to ver 4.2.2.196 (sprint). In this ver Call Waiting is working perfectly fine, I can hear the 'beep', i can take the second call, i can also go back to first call. So if u really don't want to miss any calls u have to install ver 4.2.2.196 The other benefits of this 4.2 OS which i found good over ver 4.5 are 1. Very good battery life. In ver 4.5 10% battery used to drain out in 1hr but in this OS i dont need to charge for 3 days. 2. The os is fast, it does not takes time in opening dierent applications. 3. Almost all applications are working fine like Gmail, Google Sync, gmaps, browsers, Gtalk , nimbuzz etc. Only few themes dont work. 4. Call waiting is working Perfectly fine on OS 4.2.2.196, which is a very essential feature. If u want to install this 4.2 os it is advisable to also downgrade ur Desktop Manager to ver 4.2 Finally I got call waiting beep on my bb8830 with os 4.5.175. But I am still clueless about what went wrong earlier and what new I have done now which lead to resolve this call waiting issue. The only new thing I remind is that I am using a shirnked os and not all the components of os 4.5.175. I had removed the default themes, unused languages, voice activated dialing and a few more from my original os 4.5.175 to gain more memory and after that it started working. But I do not see any direct link of shrinking the os and resolution of this call waiting problem. Cofirmed, Toady's TOI Delhi edition has the Ad on front page mentioning Samsung Corby CDMA with mobile broadband speed upto 2.4 mbps. Great, I think soon we will be able to get EVDO on our Moguls and Diamonds. (Sadik, Muffadal we are waiting for good news...............)
