It should not be the issue with Jabir. He is facing this problem while using mobile internet for a long time, so the phone can't go in deep sleep while using these apps. It can't even be the issue of 1x-EVDO, else the caller should not have got ringing/caller tune. If he is on 1x, the caller will get busy tome only....

@abhi.r - are you looking for something like This If yes, Also go through This and This, might solve your purpose. In Samsung Fascinate, there is an advanced option in Wifi settings, to set proxy & port. I don't remind if there was any such option in Epic

There are file manager apps in market not requiring root access, can download from market. To name a few- Astro, Adao, ES File, AndExplorer, these should work fine even without root. @abhi.r, Arun ##3282# don't work with my fascinate, is it only for Sprint Devices?

I hope, you have File explorer in your device, why not use that to delete the files. I had stopped using default gallery in Samsung devices and use QuickPic instead. Very fast from stock gallery and easy to use.

@rajan, I tried DL09, EB01, ED01, ED04 & EC09 (leaked). I used EC09 for a day or two when I flashed the Leaked EC09 Rom and I didn't faced any such call drop/missed calls during deep sleep. It might have gone un-noticed on my part. But you are right, its a wide spread issue in EC09 along with a few other issues, so I opted back for Froyo EB01, though overall Signal quality on EC09 was better from what I am getting in EB01/ED01. @dkaile, I too got the OTA in my Incredible, but never in Fascinate. Don't remind about Epic, have you got OTA for Epic?

I had tried to get OTA while staying un-rooted on DL09 official stock rom. I couldn't get the update, tried both Wifi & EVDO. So looks that it had to do something with point no 2 also. So I opted for ODIN flash to Stock EB01 Odin Tar and radio EC09. @ rajan, installing OTA should not mess up the Reliance Settings.

Volume issue on Evo3D. Just found on Market an app named "Volume+". Description says, specially for HTC Sensation & Evo3D running on GB Rom. Though it is a paid app, but if anybody wanna give a try, here is the solution. Please report if this make any diff in volume levels.

I don't think it should work fine for all devices. It may do the job for some specific devices, but not all. Just check This & This, this method is outdated & unsupported. Its always good to use device specific root/unroot method.

@nitink Apps2SD used to perform that function on Eclair2.1 That was a long process, including rooting & partition of SD card. Apps2SD :- Please read This and This. Yes, ShootMe works only for Rooted phone, though I never tried the same on unrooted android. For fascinate, you can try one more trick:- Press & hold the back key and press the power key Your screen shot will be saved in sd card. I tried this just now on my fascinate, it worked. and will work even without Rooting

For screen shots, on any android phone, you can use a free app from market - ShootMe This allows you to take not only screen shots, but also screen cast (video), there is an option in the app.

Its not working on custom roms, at least not working on MIUI v1.7.8. Now the issue is that my Data has stopped working since last few hours on MIUI Rom v1.7.8 It was working fine till afternoon, It is still working if I go back to any stock rom (Eclair or Froyo) but not on MIUI. Is there any way to get QPST working with MIUI rom loaded on Fascinate. Just want to check, if some data settings changed due to MIUI flashing. Regards

Thanks Rajan ji, I had considered this also, but Optimus has lower screen size and resolution compared to Galaxy3. Froyo, yes LG has the plus point. There should be any Froyo update for Galaxy S also, let me check on XDA.

@Vishal - This triangle shows that you don't have the correct PRL and the phone is in roaming. Change your PRL using QPST. @Abhi, Its the best wayout to correctly configure your data settings using data dump th CDMA WS as said by Dhiraj sir.

Hi, Is Samsung Galaxy 3 i5801 a good option to buy keeping in mind the budget constraint of 6-6.5K (available at letsbuy after rcomlb1) One of my associate lost his handset and was going to buy Samsung star 2 duos for 6K from market, but I asked him to go for android. I couldn't see any better option than i5801, I personally don't like Spice Mobiles. Any other options for 6K price?
