Christmas greetings again! Spotify is arguably the best online music streaming software across all devices. Though this topic is not a debate of the same but many tech critics review so. Many of you might not have heard its name or if you have then you might have wondered how to get it working for you. Well this simple tutorial is for those who are music fanatics and connected to internet all the time. In my opinion the desktop app and tablet version are the best but you can enjoy on your phones too across most platforms with few less features. in your browser on any mobile device go to this address m.spotify.com …….there choose to manually download software. You will get the app download started as you won't get it through playstore or appstore. For desktops its easy by going to website. Now don't run the app first but do the following ~ You need to copy and create a VPN on your device from any such free access sites , i am giving here the one I use Free VPN Type: PPTP VPN VPN Encryption: MPPE-128 Bit Server Location: USA & UK US Server Host: us.websitevpn.com VPN Username: websitevpn.com VPN Password: freevpn UK Server Host: uk.websitevpn.com VPN Username: websitevpn.com VPN Password: freevpn You will just need either one of these. Pick any but then don't add both as it will confuse eventually. Ok you are all set if in the top notification bar you see a small box with VPN written in it. Now open your app and either log in with your Facebook if u use it unlike me or create a new id. Make sure if you create id that you enter country as the one your chose above, UK or USA. As this service is available in very select few countries. Now turn off the VPN and use the app normally. Thats it you are set. Have fun with unlimited music. Create playlists on your computer , enjoy them on your device. Play local music files if both are connected to same wifi network. P.S. the only catch here is that every 14 days your spotify will stop working on all devices as it will suggest you that your free abroad travel days are over and please return to home country. in this scenario you have to again turn on VPN which you added to create id. log in once with it , it may take multiple attempts. once logged in , turn off VPN and again you have two weeks of music blast.

Is there any weather app that gives you local offline prediction based on the phone's built in barometer. Mostly what I found was that it collects individual readings to send and compare with the general reading through network.- 1,081 replies

That's a wishful thinking. I am pretty sure it wouldn't happen without loud publicity. -
HTC Blinkfeed for any unrooted 4.4 android phone
::: VA ::: replied to ::: VA :::'s topic in Tutorial and Guides
I have been successful with HTC weather, clock and gallery too. But Zoe crashes and can't load music and camera. They both require framework and library which needs root. Not possible on droid yet. This is just for kicks, I know I can always buy a HTC phone for all of above. -

Has anybody faced it and found a solution? My nephew deleted some pics from my camera roll. I have photo stream disabled and these were fresh pics so no iTunes backup. My device is on 7.2 ios and jail broken. Help me out anyone!

Making an attempt through ssh and dd parameters in terminal. It will make a full back up of iPad as an IMG file on my Mac. Will then use another most recommended shell utility called photorec. Tried many (at least a dozen) claiming recovery but success with none. Will update the results.

Android app update process improved ahead of iOS
::: VA ::: posted a topic in General Technical Discussion
Android team had provided optional choice of Dalvik or ART system with Kitkat. Only a select few delve this deep to explore such features. Personally one of the choicest feature for me which I had wished since much before was improvement in app update process. I use both android & iOS. Every time there is an update I have to download the whole app size again. I had wondered why they can't make them supplement updates like in desktop OS. It was said that with the next iteration of android aka 5.0 ART will replace dalvik which will come with many such significant changes. Interestingly iOS has not been able to tap this practical solution owing to their APIs I suppose till iOS 7.2 at least. I haven't checked iOS 8 yet. But in kitkat 4.4.4 I have constantly monitored that whenever you update an app. Even though it may show full app size when download begins and starts downloading but half through 45-55% it starts installing the update. I have even confirmed it with my exact data usage for that particular session. Finally & thankfully they have improved app update process. It saves time & data to a great extent. When we are using wifi we don't bother with such things. Some of us click update all, some choose certain apps to update, while others just ignore these notifications. But it matters and most of all its smart & practical. Now a days mobile apps sizes have increased exponentially unlike initial days. Of course so has the quality and features. I am traveling so much and certain changes in updates demand immediate attention. I end up doing that on mobile data. This change has become a saving grace in many aspects. If you have already observed this or are now noticing it, please share your experience and views.- 3 replies

In my understanding such features require gyroscope to work. This explains why it's not working on moto g as it lacks one.- 1,081 replies
