Universal Username And Password For Reliance Netconnect+
::: VA ::: replied to HetalDP's topic in Data services
now if only evdo activation on any no. becomes as easy as sending a sms to toll free no. as rcdma now has brilliant data plans and easy id & pass. but getting evdo activated is still not easy with calling CC and makng them understand. as on most gsm networks to activate 3g is child's play. if the same becomes for rcdma ............... -
Wow it stopped when monsoon started but once it started pouring heavy it worked again. It may be the high humidity responsible. Sent from my MB855 using Tapatalk 2

Apple iPhone 5 will put Samsung Galaxy S III to Shame: Foxconn CEO
::: VA ::: replied to nitink's topic in Other handsets
and its so boring to use ios. you are perpetually in your menu all the time. cant even quickly see or know whats going on where unless u go to an app exclusively. notifications are lagging way behind. miss live wallpaper. why jailbreak for such a simple thing. any smartphone os without widget support is so primitive. no wonder microsoft is working to enable tiles in windows 8. i have recently been using ipad & asus transformer. and honestly ics feels way ahead of ios. imagine having to go to four steps at least just for enabling wifi in ios. gosh why cant they allow you to simply put a wifi toggle on homescreen like android. -

Parin, So lets say we start the process all over again.. ie., Flash SBF (at this point check if the data & connection is back, if not then load PRL & NV Dump) Root & unlock bootloader Flash Custom CWM Wipe/Factory Reset Load MIUI v4 2.6.8 ( this ROM was the reason why it all started ) and check again whether data & calls are working ! (if not working, can we again load PRL & NV dump at this point) ? How to load NV Dump ? (which tab in CDMA workshop) Do we need to unlock SPC (how) before we try loading PRL & NV Dump? How to put photon in DIAG Mode ? IN CDMA WKSHP under memory you will find nv items below. choose write there and give it the dump file. yes spc unlock first before you can load anything else nothing would work. to put photon in diag mode, Connect the Phone to ur PC Via USB Cable Turn of the phone as soon as Mobile restart Press & hold the Volume Down Key U will see the Fastboot Now press the Volume down key to navigate to BP Tools Once u reach BP tools press the Volume Up button Phone will now start in Diag Mode if the MotoHelper is Installed it will Automatically Install the Drivers Download Motorola 5.2.0 Driver with MotoHelper* http://www.motorola.com/staticfiles/Support/Experiences/Global_Drivers/MotoHelper_2.0.53_Driver_5.2.0.exe Please click for this answer, it solves your query. -
I will start listing from a simple user point of view. 1. Go during operative hours to get your no. transfer to handset 2. Get nv dump file for data settings when its not flashed and learn to flash it 3. You can't get evdo active on your own, request your seller and wait. 4. Pay more than gsm 3g rates and get speed max 3.1 in comparison to gsm 5. If you sell your phone follow all these steps for new phone plus removing stuff from old one. Not to forget get your old rsn released. 6. Cc or web world guys never understand your requests. 7. No warranty on imported phones. 8. No ussd or instant data usage & balance 9. Updating ota or custom rom often takes away network n data settings None of these tensions on gsm, instant get your no. & data active. Similar call rates but faster n cheaper data. Warranty if indian handset. Cc would understand if you still get stuck. I have bought eleven handsets till date for my friends family and relatives. They were from 4 different sellers. Most from a single one. Til now only success in evdo on 2 handsets. So I thought is it worth waiting trying efforts for such basics when you can have them instantly on gsm. The only advantage I see is that your handsets are cheaper than their gsm counterpart but the difference is not huge if you buy grey market stuff without warranty in gsm too. Imported CDMA Handsets - Is It Worth The Efforts?

Imported CDMA Handsets - Is It Worth The Efforts?
::: VA ::: replied to ::: VA :::'s topic in The Lounge
its not the same case with every phone. will illustrate with two examples. did a hard reset to htc eris & incredible. and they were back on sprint. even though they were registered phones. had to load prl, nam & nv dump file again to get them working. which is not an easy thing for everyone. unless u have mugged ur head here & learnt it. have all the drivers and most difficult (a windows xp machine). i recently did a soak test ota for moto photon n same thing happened all network settings were gone. so its different case for different phones. -
Imported CDMA Handsets - Is It Worth The Efforts?

i totally agree with the credentials of this forum and the gurus helping selflessly. but i dont like to wait so much for simple stuff and mail / pm gurus over petty things on & off. follow different threads to confirm or know development for os upgrade, omh support, data settings, etc anything for that matter. very honestly i think its the only factor that drives this forum that we users are able to get latest international fancy smart-phones or simple phones for cheap. and then the follow ups regarding features & abilities. discussing possible plans options and stuff. but i often imagine how much time i can save & utilize if i simple buy a billed & warranty gsm handset. probably wouldnt have to look into any forum even 10% of current times for mobile phone related things. just a small example. i recently bought dinc2 for my dad. the first day itself it showed ota update and i was excited. i downloaded it but it failed to install. just like that i asked the respected seller (now a friend as well) and he told me i would have bricked the phone if i had successfully updated it. as in all the settings which make it universal would blow. moral of the story - an android phone with oem ota update and you cant do it without first going through our forum to know the pros & cons. just because its a cdma imported handset not meant actually to run here. yeah its a small price for some but as the title of this thread says - Is it worth the efforts? P.S. I dont intend to draw or reach any conclusions through this thread, its just to draw attention, discuss & seek/give opinion over something now so many of us deal with. -
Sorry fellow members my dad returns on 14th and placing an order now might get jeopardised. As the chances of timely delivery gets meagre. I frankly dont have a taste for packing n dispatching. But still wanted ppl here to get the battery. As I had mentioned in may that if there were 4-5 confirmed orders on my pm, I would have placed the order. By the way it costed 9 and the supplier is called E-cell based from uk. So if my experience goes well which I will post here then I am sure we can order through someone in future. It seems very reasonable a price to me. Sent from my MB855 using Tapatalk 2

Imported CDMA Handsets - Is It Worth The Efforts?
::: VA ::: replied to ::: VA :::'s topic in The Lounge
Thats what I want to mention here. call or network quality isn't all that superior at least to be noticed by an average user. To make it worth the literal hardship for basic things like activation n data. I see alot of ppl today use data n messengers n facebook. But none that swear by cdma making it better experience. It's like an apple user never considers android smart or intuitive enough, similarly we talk of cdma. Had it been like usa where you have expert customer care or forums run by service provider who understand n act to what you need. Unlike in our country where cdma service providers are allergic to anything above basic. Which makes the experience tiring n tragic. Sent from my MB855 using Tapatalk 2 -

Guys I use 3g prepaid packs on roaming and have never read or felt that my pack got consumed faster. Normally I take 500 or 300 mb per month. So didn't know if it made difference. Sent from my MB855 using Tapatalk 2 -
