how long does it take your ferrari to start up .... oh i mean your superpower smartphone boot time. have you ever been bothered by it to bring it to full working from shut down mode. my photon unfortunately takes 1:36 mins tested with startup manager https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=imoblife.startupmanager&hl=en but i was crazy amazed to see results on recently purchased htc sensation i think its exemplary to note and i believe thats how quick your partner in arms should be. i wonder if it even shuts down completely. it almost like it goes to sleep. having used quite a few htc i m sure when i choose power off and the logo appears "htc quietly brilliant" before turning dark. as i again press power on it hardly takes 10 seconds. you guys might have had faster & better experience. please share here.

i really wanna use tata indicom ruim with data on photon. wish it was possible. ashok above said he uses tata on photon but no further clarifications

It has a micro sim slot near the memory card i thought that it was purely for LTE didnt know it could be cracked to run ruim for voice & data

Ashok bhai many ppl have managed using ruim on photon but with data not working so far. Have you been able to get 1x or evdo?

its like having a ferrari or lambhorgini and getting it fueled tank full after every 100 kms. whats the point of such powerful engine capacity or bhp or torque. but from what i read motorola droid razr maxx is about to change this with its 3500 mah battery. hope it actually lasts as its reviewed. -

No matter how many cores or single. Having used quite a few android phones I can ascertain one thing. They haven't managed the most important factor battery last. However smart your phone may be but if if it lacks stamina or power to last then its a let down. -

Its funny to discover that alot of paid apps and one of which I stumbled upon is Editor's Choice on Market can be acquired through GetJar. Just download their free app and look into Gold App category. They have shortlisted selected apps which are the best ones according to them. For e.g. You can get Beautiful Widgets which is Rs.127/- in market but free here and Trial X game again for free. Jump onto it before they remove or change the apps.

Cumbersome is hardly the word I d use. The sheer ease and comfort of ur pc or laptop when you busy working is unbeatable. Specially when you have all ur contacts in google now as most of us are android users. You dont have to pick ur mobile to sms anything important you want to msg. But may be those who are in field more and less infront of their machines then of course sms through mobile is first choice. Still sending through gtalk being free adds to the charm. -

No activation is required for 3g and video calling. Your phone network type should be Umts or hsdpa. But you cannot make video call directly. Only through gtalk skype etc. in android. Unlike airtel reliance no sms sending is needed. -

thankfully root explorer is not the only method. sorry i think root is necessary for such changes. in the same post of xda linked above you will find Flash Instructions : 1. Download the attached .zip file 2. Place .zip on the root of your SDcard 3. Boot into CWM recovery 4. Perform a Back-up (This hasnt been verified yet on all Photon Roms so better safe than sorry) 5. Choose Install .zip from SDcard 6. Navigate to where you place the zip (either in Internal-SD or SD-ext) 7. Flash the Raindrop_Fix.zip 8. Reboot
