Hello Mukund, Thanks for the information. I haven't got any bill yet. So i paid the last two bills in the CC and i have got my account number. But the portal doesn't accept my unique id( of course i tried with alphabets and without them). Actually what is this unique id then? did you face such a problem?

i got BSNL WIMAX TODAY. the CINR value is between 35 and 37( for the last 3 hours constantly)RSSI is -57. I get constant speed of 1 Mbps in speedtest.net. I use it in UBUNTU. no problems at all. May i know the portal to pay wimax bill online. i couldn't find one in bsnl.co.in.

hello Mukundan, I'm from Kakkanad.1. i would like to know whether bsnl wimax Rs.750 unlimited connection still gives 1mbps speed instead of 512kbps.2. what is the ideal distance from the tower for using usb dongle for wimax?(i'm inside 1km raidus from the tower) please clarfy these doubts. i would like to switch to bsnl wimax from the present relance broadband plus. the present connection is pretty good. but a bit expensive. thanks in advance.

thanks arun! i didn't notice that link..But it is sad that CDMA users are denied the flexibility of using their mobile as modem by using prepaid data packs. 3G users are able to use this. When will CDMA segment become more flexible! We are still left to use a phone and a data card separately to browse in CDMA!Keeping my fingers crossed for a better decision. -

The BSNL customer care in the number 0471-2544050 vehemently denies that there is a pre-paid service in cdma mobile segment. When i told her that the BSNL national website advertises it with super tariff plans like Azadi 210, she blatently told me that the information is wrong!!!!!Such idiotic people who don't read their own website are the curse of BSNL. If the Kerala circle of BSNL starts issuing CDMA RUIMs, I will be the first among to subscribe one.

Saket, me too anxiously waiting to jump to the MTS bandwagon from Reliance CDMA once MNP is effective!!!!!!!!!MTS rocks, not just because of low call rates and excellent network coverage but with their voice clarity as well. When i started using MTS many of my friends were anxious to know from which phone i was calling because of the voice quality they felt. I request the friends of this forum for their valuable comment on the better voice quality of MTS!!

Now MTS offers the most mouth watering plan of 1000 minutes to any netowrk(mob or landline) for a single recharge of Rs.199 with a validity of 30 days. That means all calls for 20 ps. What an idea sirji.....from MTS, the most CRYSTAL CLEAR NETWORK IN INDIA!! This plan is available now in KERALA, i'm not sure about other circles!!

One more offer from MTS(which is my base plan). A single recharge of Rs.99 makes all local calls 30ps/mint for lifetime.

I use MTS prepaid. With a single recharge of Rs.199, I get 1000 minutes talk time(TO ANY NETWORK)and a validity of 30 days. That means the CALL CHARGE is 20 ps/minute. But MTS doesn't advertise this mouth watering offer(may be because this might not be a long time offer, i guess). Onam offer included a pckage of 1500 minutes talk time on a recharge of Rs.298(which now ended, could be recharged only upto 20th August). But Rs.199=1000 minutes for 30 days(In other words all calls at 20 ps/mint still continues). How many mobile users are aware of this offer? I got this info from the customer care and am happily using the crystal clear MTS netrwork for heavy calling with this cool pack of Rs.199.

I WONDER WHY BSNL HESITATES TO ANNOUNCE THAT THEY HAVE STARTED PROVIDING CDMA MOBILE SERVICE.(They only say "EVDO enabled RUIMs are available). They should advertise themselves as Reliance or Tata as a mobile operator who uses both GSM &CDMA. If they come strongly into the CDMA segment, it will really boost the CDMA subscriber base in the country. More CDMA users means more QUALITY IN MOBILE calling-Permanent solution for "Hello Hello" problem(as advertised by TATA) -

Very attractive offer, but without having a CDMA pre-paid RUIM, one cannot fully utilise this mega offer. PREPAID RUIMs are not available in KERALA as of now.BSNL is a white elephant which doesn't know it's own strength. Without proper advt and promt service the company is slowly commiting suicide. 11 what a pity!!
