Hey my camera had been giving me a trouble for some time now yesterday I showed the set at CC these guys promptly replaced my Main CB for the phone but this is the second time I have got repairs done on the set. First time they replaced d screen it was a manufacture defect now its the pcb. And one visit I had to pay forsoftware upgrade... I am happy with the set but kind afraid with how frequent it goes bad cos its hardly done 9 months now... anyone else facing problems with the hardware.... HUH

Even I loved the movie... I know even I m out of topic but last nyt i wanted to start a thread on the movies too.... Anyways merging my off topic msg to the topic... V were at a theatre to watch this movie and as usual black ticketing was on and here comes a cop to the guy selling off black tickets... Cop: I want tickets Guy: 100 for one Cop: I m a cop... atleast give me discount Guy: Next Cop takes out his I-Card in front of the Black ticketeer(or whatever hi is called) and then takes a discount of 50 bucks to watch a movie(Ironically a movie like 'Rang De') Anyways this incident would open your eyes about how much these guys are scared of police nowadays. Police is like a scarecrow...which is so useless that all the crows are shi***g on top of it only... and so it has started scaring decent citizens...

This is exactly the point I was coming to... They are supposed to survive on a meagre salary (equivalent to grade IV govt employee). I don't think their salaries are even into 5 digit figures... . And just imagine their working conditions...normally no weekly offs, 12-18 hours duties, working in most adverse and even life-threatening conditions, all this in times when ae are talking of our own salaries running into several lakhs per annum. Yeah, I started at a salary that was more than what my father (he's an engineer) was earning at a good position. In such a scenario..I mean, when avg incomes have simply sky-rocketed thru' the last few years, are'nt they supposed to be paid a little better? And just imagine the frustration the face...no promotions (in a real sense), not much hike in salaries (unlike us who simply jump jobs at 1.5 to 2 times current ctc). I feel, the root of the problem runs much deeper than simply a case of "To or Not To" bribe Rs.50. Hey @amtrag... You'll be shocked to know that the four digit salaries you are refering to... are sold of to the required candidates for lakhs... and a ASI's unofficial income runs in double digits lakhs or single digit crores by the time he is thru with six-seven years in a big metro city... Forget your salary in front of his salary and what fifty rupees you are talking about is nothing... This is your tip to him... The day you sre stuck with police and they ask you for bribe then your one years salary is his one day's tip... Note:-Its very simple for him to find such ppl cos thats what govt pays him for...

another way go to device manager select your default modem and delete it. Now configure your dial up connection... After successful connection disconnect and run add hardware wizard to reinstall your default modem....

Hey even I think a phone could double up for a digital oraganiser. But on a cdma network its better to use separate mp3 player. I use my ipod nano when m out on trips and carry my phone along. And come to look at it this way whats the use carrying a moderate camera, just a mp3 player and a [battery eating] cell phone. When instead you can carry a decent mp3 player which allows you playlists and a camera which offers you a decent resolution...so that you can click pistures which you can actually develop On this someone would come up with a post referring some 1.3 megapixel camera phone offered by somy company... for that please refer to post #3 above.... :-)

Hey have you tried using Mass downloader. I use that just that I connect to net surf for first hour or so write mails, select things for download and then select Mass downloader to Disconnect internet and switch off the comeputer when download complete or disconnect internet by 05:55 and shutdown by 05:58 every morning... So timely to bed and Easy to rise... Keeps me in good health and makes me wise... @honest listening...

Look from your post its obvious that your software is on a terminal thats online and you can write mails in realtime... So send mail to hotmail id and from there forward mails to a mobile device orage supported since donkeys years... I have forwarded my mails to mobile device RIM no receiving is free sending sms is charged... I do get notifications for my mails instantaneously... so would you....

@abhay what version of norton antivirus are you using... It is a resource ****ing software. Anyways incase if you have any non-corporate edition version of norton antivirus installed on your machine and you are planning to go for a upgarde cos of slow speed just try uninstalling NAV and you'll get a big shock.... Corporate edition no doubt is good...m Not sure about how good is Zone alarm so no comments... Also I dint post this link to discuss how good is microsoft antispy I think somewhere this disscussion was already on long time back there are many people who say it is good...
