^^^ even i bought mts sim just to try services for few days as it is cdma by russians.. mts sim working in my 6265 was a surprise for me ...
-
i tried MTS sim in both LG 6600 and LG 3000, but it DID NOT work. says contact reliance customer care..
-
Problem is only with RCDMA tower's geographical location. they choose a strange location to install their tower. i am getting good coverage of BSNL, Voda, Airtel, Aircel etc.. RGSM too... they can easily improve cdma coverage by adding an antenna in the nearby RGSM tower.. MTS tech guy visited my house today and he said they have started the second phase of tower installations, so my feedback is valuable for them and the network issue will be solved 100% in the near future..
-
MTS and RCDMA is almost same coverage for me, today I confirmed that both towers are located at different places. RGSM i am having a tower less than 1 KM away and i am getting full signal.

Poor Outgoing Connectivity From Reliance GSM
savramesh replied to savramesh's topic in Miscellaneous
^^^ after seeing such problems in reliance gsm, mts seems to be a perfect launch... -
you itself told in first post that there is a plan "Daily Pass@10per day" what does this mean ?? is it not unlimited ? NUC is applicable ?
-
it all happened earlier, but of no use. because my problem will be solved only with a new tower installation. 2 years back a new tower was installed 2 kms away from house but that was in a hilly area so it didnt help me. 6 months back they said once gsm is tower near my house [1 km] is up then they will add cdma antenna to enhance network. when i checked with the local tech guy 2 months back he said they have not got the control of gsm tower and its still under test phase with reliance mumbai. once they get the control of gsm tower then they will recommend and try to add cdma antenna, this was the last response. after taking rgsm i stopped caring about cdma. anyway will speak to them again and find out what can they do for my prepaid cdma...
-
for the last 3 years i am fighting with reliance cdma for better coverage inside my house and nothing happened even after getting so many assurances.. they made me to take rgsm, they made me to convert cdma postpaid to prepaid and now made me to take mts... lets see how mts listen to me ..
-
will try 6600 too and update you..
-
i think it can save more contacts and sms than a 32k sim.. some more updates calls from mts going to aircel and coming from aircel calls going to reliance and coming from reliance calls going to bsnl landline and NOT coming from bsnl landline..
-

BlackBerry maker launches application store Associated Press Wednesday, April 01, 2009 (Washington) Research in Motion, the maker of BlackBerry phones, launched its awaited one-stop shop for add-on applications on Wednesday. BlackBerry App World is available as a free download from RIM's Web site, with 1,000 applications. While third-party programs have long been available for BlackBerrys from many sources, the Waterloo, Ontario-based company is now following in Apple Inc.'s footsteps by creating and operating a central store. Every other major company in the "smart" phone industry is doing the same. BlackBerry App World is available as a free download from RIM's Web site, with 1,000 applications. Users need an account with eBay Inc.'s PayPal payment service and a BlackBerry with a trackball or touch screen. RIM Co-Chief Executive Jim Balsillie said the company is looking to strike deals with wireless carriers so that shoppers can charge their purchases to their phone bill instead of using PayPal. App World will share revenue with the carriers and allow them set up their own stores within the store. Microsoft Corp. on Tuesday announced that carrier stores and billing will be part of its Windows Marketplace for Mobile, an applications store that will launch with new phones toward the end of the year. Nokia Corp., the world's largest maker of cell phones, has several application stores but said earlier this year that it would combine them into one. Google Inc. runs an Android Marketplace of programs for the T-Mobile G1 phone, which will be joined by other phones running Google's Android software this year. The launch of App World coincides with a speech by RIM's other co-CEO, Mike Lazaridis, at a cell phone trade show opening Wednesday in Las Vegas. He plans to profile the BlackBerry as a music-playing device, an important capability now that RIM is taking it from a business-oriented e-mail gadget to a mainstream smart phone competing with the iPhone. But Balsillie said RIM has no plans to launch a music store of its own, like Apple and Nokia have. "The key thing is to play the enabling card to all the music stores that are out there," Balsillie said. "It would make as much sense for me to create my music store as it would be me to create my own e-mail application to compete with Yahoo and Gmail."

Samsung Partners Bsnl, Mtnl For 3g Services
savramesh posted a topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Korean electronic major Samsung said on Wednesday that it has partnered state-run telecos BSNL and MTNL to provide high-end handsets for their 3G services and is looking at up to 45 per cent of its total sales being generated from multimedia and touch-screen phones. "We have partnered BSNL and MTNL to promote 3G services in India. We are currently giving a special bundling offer for BSNL consumers on our select handsets for 3G services," Samsung India Electronics President and CEO Jung Soo Shin said in New Delhi. He said, "We have also provided handsets to MTNL to offer 3G services in Delhi." Samsung on Wednesday launched an 8 mega pixel touchscreen, 3G enabled phone 'Ultra' priced at Rs 27,500 in India. The handset is capable of offering speedy internet access, video telephony, streaming and multimedia services. "Samsung already has four touchscreen phones available in the Indian market, all of these are 3G enabled," Shin said. "We are looking at touchscreen and multimedia phone portfolio to contribute 40-45 per cent of our total sales by the end of the year," Samsung Telecom Division Country Head Sunil Dutt said.(AM-01/04) Source DD News -
