good news.. i put call forward from gsm to cdma.. when i called the gsm , which was forwarded to cdma, there was no call charge deducted in gsm as 11 to 6 is free calling.. @Saurav forwarding call charge will be deducted from promotional local balance during day time and once the local balance is zero, further charges from main balance @ Re1 per min.. also during night forwarding is free provided call is forwarded to reliance mobile number..

i did by following in gsm handset goto settings call forwarding forward if not reachable give number activate will chk tonight after 11 that forward to cdma is free or charged.. hope that should be free as night gsm to cdma is free for us. and if that is free then during day time they will deduct forwarding charge from promotional talktime.. hope u understood ..

same pblm for me sagem myx-1w not in their database..i called and complained to customer care, they said they will be adding my handset soon, and asked to try after few hours..(already 1 hr over still same error.) so u too pls call and provide them ur handset model.. they will add ur handset model to their database .. also i think we can manually setup gprs or wap, but for that we need to know the following details login username dialup # ip address port type: secure / non secure mode: digital / analog / automatic // calling GSM gurus for help

In trivandrum, kerala, the gsm network name is showing as "IDEA Reliance" when i entered trivandrum it was showing 405 11, later it was showed "IDEA Reliance" !!!! also in my handset preferred networks are showing as 405 01, 405 05, 405 06, 405 07, 405 09, 405 10, 405 11, 405 13, 405 15, 405 18, 405 19, 405 20, 405 21, 405 22, 404 09, 404 36, 404 18, 404 83, 404 67, 404 50, 404 52, 404 85 my home network in nagercoil, tamilnadu is 405 20

call forwarding is working fine in GSM, i have given forward to cdma when gsm is not reachable..

u dont have to send any sms. there is an option to get gprs/wap/mms settings in R-menu goto R-menu -> Get Settings -> GPRS Settings / Wap Settings / MMS Settings when u select it then it will automatically retrieve settings for ur handset.. i tried it in my Sagem myX-1 handset, and got reply handset information not available in their database, have to try in some other handset..

AWESOME, excellent seamless network when i traveled from Nagercoil to Trivandrum. Outgoing and Incoming working fine in Trivandrum roaming.. Hats off to Reliance GSM sad part is daily incentive Rs5 cannot be used in roaming..

from today I am getting an info message displayed in mobile screen "Lifetime now @ Rs.96"

Rs 5 per day cannot be used for local calls in roaming.. i tried today calling few local numbers in roaming and the call charge deducted from main bal and not from free local Rs 5 per day..

it was not working for me sometime when i was in roaming.. when i switched to different tower it started working.. so i thought the previous tower might be under up gradation for gsm..

what made reliance to start telecom service in cdma technology ? they had plans to play gsm too when they launched cdma or gsm was planned recently ? what would be their future plans ? i think they will not kill cdma, they might want to have max customers in cdma as well as gsm for max profit..

@ vkat what did u meant by CDMA to GSM ? did u mean option for cdma customers to migrate to GSM ? this option will never come. once number portability is setted up, then u can have a new gsm connection with same cdma number.. correct me if i am wrong...

@ ARUN what is the status in TVM, i will be there till tomorrow noon with gsm roaming... hope it will be working...

start complaining reliance about coverage now itself.. soon u will get good coverage.. 3 years back i started complaining about poor cdma coverage.. last week i was assured that very soon it will be resolved

they might be doing the process of activating towers.. so try tomorrow.. hope it will work soon.. when i bought sim 3 days back only 2 towers were up, today all towers in the district is up.. Note: they have already integrated the gsm towers to their hub, so ur mobile will show network even when the tower is not activated.. that means u will not be able to make or receive calls, send or receive sms. i faced this pblm in few places.. and when i get inside an activated tower's network my mobile started working..

in my town today all towers are up.. when i bought sim 3 days back only 2 towers were working.. so soon in few days everything will be fine.. tomorrow i am going to trivandrum, so i will update roaming experience by evening....

as soon as i become ur customer, i will write testimonial for u...
