After OTA update,...epic resets 2 -3 times a day, it resets so quickly that you cant even notice it. but Rest of all is simply fine & i really liked Froyo..but for this only reason I want to roll back to Eclair DI18 Stock ROM, I tried to follow the links on android forms but required software download... some links aren't working, iam confused how may files should i download!! So To roll back to Stock Rom Eclair DI18 from recent Froyo Update: I have copied this content from another android fourm.. anyone please confirm this is correct or anything else is required to be downlaod prior to these steps for rollback to DI18 --- 1. Download the following file and save it in your phones root directory (not any special folder) - which basically means when you use "USB storage" on your phone when it's plugged into your PC...drag the update.zip file into your phone where you see all the folders. Do NOT put it in any folder. update.zip - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download http://www.4shared.com/file/AxJk14Oh/update.html 2. make sure its named update.zip and nothing else. if its named something else like update1.zip, change it to update.zip 3. turn phone off 4. Hold down camera, volume down and press power. 5. Use volume down to select SDCard: update.zip 6. Press Home on the capacitive buttons to select. 7. Phone should automatically install and reboot. Edit: Finally the above might not be the proper method because I have been told to use ODIN method ... Thanks All

I got OTA update and updated Looking good and no issues so far The coloured icon in settings menu look good.. All my apps and content remain unscratched and only I had to reenter my gmail password once even the stock email client worked without reentering Password Looks Good so far Sent from my Samsung Epic using Tapatalk

so if you have updated your Epic.. Pls check whether the "TV out" Functionality is available after update?? ( in Settings > Sound & display) (however..i guess..its Not!!)

Don’t despair if you dont see the update signs on your Epic. its said to be start start rolling out at 9PM PST 21st Feb

Epic to TV out..is not possible via 3.5mm jack (RCA Cable)have tried it I have searched for 'TV out' Options in settings which is not available on EPIC so you can't connect using RCA cable to TV out in android 2.1 on Epic ! I want to know if we can connect to TV & watch Movie, using Micro USB to HDMI cable ? as there cables available on Ebay for samsung Epic for this purpose..have any one tried it, is it possible on stock ROM 2.1 are there any alternatives for my question other than using Dlna, as my present TV dont support Dnle. thanks

Dec. 16: The government has asked three telecom service providers — Airtel, Tata and Reliance — to put on hold their video calling services on 3G until interception facilities are cl-eared by security agencies. In a letter sent to these companies, the Telecom Department (DoT) said the shortcomings in interception facilities of video calling on 3G services for the agencies need to be addressed before their launch. The three companies were to start the video call facilities by the end of this year. According to an exhaustive note sent by the Union home ministry to the DoT, a demonstration was organised by Reliance, Tata Teleservices and Bharti during which the law enforcement agencies pointed out that online delivery of video call intercepts “in real time” could not be carried out by any of the telecom operators. The contents of such calls were displayed only after five minutes of the completion of these calls as against the requirement of the agencies which want such details and interceptions on real-time basis, official sources said. The DoT asked these operators to put on hold their services being offered under 3G until they address the concerns raised by the security agencies. During the demonstration carried out by these telecom service providers, it came to light that long duration video calls, both incoming and outgoing, could not be intercepted, official sources said. “Outgoing and incoming video calls after eight minutes could not be intercepted and displayed,” they said. The service providers are pushing the contents of the calls in raw format to the server of agencies, which requires use of decoders to view and listen to them, the sources said.

yes, you need to dail 3 & press call button,to enable conference on reliance, which requires another dailer on our Epic, even i was confused how to do it earlier as there was merge call available , but that was of no use .. if you use conference regularly then download another dailer where call key is active when you are on another call

I have just now seen the settings in the Visual Voice mail settings actually there are two messages in the 'undelivered messages' in "Welcome to Voice Mail" Messages read as "activate@WM.sprint.com- bothe are same messages & are present in Undelivered msgs screen on was generated on 2 weeks back & another one generated 1 week back & are not delivered ..so Iam getting such messages related to visual voice mail 7 when I try to delete these messages ..it sys that the firt messages activates visual voice mail service & cannot be deleted, so is there any way to stop this notification (or) uninstal this default sprint app Removing the unwanted sprint apps will solve this thing.... but I have not rooted my phone to follow the procedure listed in our fourm (i dont want to Root my Phone !) but want to get rid of these srint apps.

i am getting notifications reg. sprint Voice mail on my New Epic notification pops up...it says " there is a delay in setting up of voice mail, your msg will be delivered after your data services are active" sm thing like this I've checked there is a message in the sprint voice mail which by default generates when your phone is started for first time & if its not deliveredthe visual notifier related to sprint voice mail pops up, Data on my phone works seemlessly, is it an issue with sprint services preinstalled on my phone..that doesnot intercept the data over the phoen other than Sprint Data services. i initially tried to ignore this ..but it keeps popping sometimes, how to stop this application. can I stop ths from settings --manage applications .. running services & clicking to stop there? in Voice mail settigs i have disabled all the check marks including Notifications.. but it still shows up

a year before i use to think that, Iphone was much bigger in size... Already Epic itself is quite big compared to incredible & iphone, epic is optimum in size & on average handsize its..last size to easily carry on, (atleast for me ) any thing bigger than this might be much hard to carry like this one above & also this one lacks Qwerty keypad, but the Dual core speeds as shown in the vid.....Very impressive

I have Purchased a Reliance Netconnect BroadBand+ @ Rs.2399/- on 12th November, got it activated on the same Night 3 days later, verification of address by reliance person was done at my home , I myself met him & he gave a positive feedback to Reliance after 2 days netconnect stopped working & on enquiring with CC, they said Identity Documents was required to be submitted, next day probably i submitted at the same outlet where i purchased & to the same person from that day i am waiting for the services, its a postpaid connection ( i have received the working connection probably for 5 days ) i have been following up on Phone. also visited that reliance store nearly 4 times, because the CC guys cant help this case & every time i go there they say that the verification was positive & the connection is on hold will become active by the evening.. i am fed up hearing this statement again & again from them ..Met Manager, 2 sales Executives also pleaded them to make it right, as i cant act like an animal there, every thing is in Vain.. these people Really ****, another 5 day it will be one month after purchase, Now I dont Know whom should I complain with. any Suggestions !!

So it means.... 3G would cost 50Paise/Mb + Bundulled Plan /month + call Charges = much expensive on an average, than what was initially thought about, when compared to regular calling !!
