I agree they don't have clue to mnp or post paid. Spoke to an officer in Jio and they simply are trying to clear the back log of rejected caf presently. A few more days and they would start the process for fresh connections incl post paid. Are u sure mnp is a good idea with all the interconnection points problem with other operators. All stores would have the blue Sims (programmabke ones) but they have not been instructed to start the process yet as Mumbai apparently has the highest number of pending activations which are being cleared. It seems the news might be true. A friend bought a lyf handset today and he was told it will be free for an year, scheme launched yesterday only. Yes the imei is noted in the caf. They are told to check the my Jio app and confirm that the bar code is generated from the same handset, although not every store follow this practice. So if u go to multiple stores maybe somebody will give u the sim without checking anything but will still require an imei yo be mentioned in the caf. Doesn't matter for usage though. Actually Xpress mini guys can give the Sims at their discretion. They just choose not to, afraid of any complications later on. So a Samsung preview sim can be activated and used on a phone with a diff imei than what it was registered with. I have generated bar code and also provided imei in the caf for my moto x verizon. Now if I want to use it in a diff handset is it possible without using any other tweaks? The unlimited plan remains the same? Sent from my XT1060 using Tapatalk -

1. Is the sim activated now and working? 2. Store people said sim will work only on the imei registered in caf and should tally with the imei used to generate bar code. 3. I got sim with moto x using moto x imei, reason was I was told that the same imei which has been used to generate Barcode should be provided otherwise will have problems. can I activate and use it on some other handset? 4. Yes rcom 4g signals have been seen on 850 mhz for quite some time here in Mumbai but unable to connect. I know for sure as I had disabled all the other bands except 850 in the phone. Network is shown as 405-874 which is registered under Jio name but network name shown as Reliance in phone. Sent from my XT1060 using Tapatalk

^^^ Thanks Have read that 4.4.4 has some battery issues. Alrdy the battery life is not what I was hoping for it to be. Trying to make a choice between Sprint LG G2, Sprint Note 3 and Verizon Moto X. Best imho is G2 but touchscreen issue has come up once alrdy in a months usage and Note 3 has lousy battery so hoping....... -

Well it is not just a kitkat problem IMHO. I am still on zv8 and never even upgraded to zva let alone kitkat, but I do have this problem. Also another friend in mumbai has the same problem on zva also. So this is regardless of the os build. Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

Well in my experience with changing touchscreen only in the new phones is a very risky proposition. Even if u manage to separate the LCD and the digitizer, repasting it is bound to get dirt or finger marks or gaps at the sides. Not advisable. Also if it is not a one off issue no point in wasting money on replacing LCD, better use it as it is. Slight inconvenience though. Today morning touchscreen of my sprint g2 went bad. Part area not registering touch. Seems a very common problem with this phone. Anyone else having this problem in rimweb and any apparent solution. Finally copied carrier folder in root of device, did not have any carrier folder. It works immediately and does not require reboot. Strange thing is once I reboot the carrier folder is deleted again and wifi tethering does not show under setting.
