@ vinod I have a g2 which was previously activated on sprint, I can see the mdn and other details of sprint. But as soon as I changed it to ruim only mode and then put in an activated uim, the data was working out of the box. Also the first uim I put in gave me junk characters but when I transferred my primary number to uim and then used on the g2, network is showing correctly as reliance. Yes even i thought so. For edge the phone automatically took the apn, tried for voda and loop here in mumbai. Anyway to show 3g and 1x repectively in the status bar, presently it shows 3g icon even with 1x connected. Sent from my LG-LS970 using Tapatalk -

Yes rooted, twrp installed, nandroid taken, efs backed up. Finally managed to use re pro to change all fields as per this thread. Now dont hv any gsm sim to test One thing though the apn settings tab has disappeared from settings, remembered seeing it earlier. TC is not allowing me to paste the files in the phone. Have added the property folder by using root explorer in the phone. apnconf.xml is read only so rootexplorer not allowing and TC does not give option to paste. Am i doing something wrong. -

@kshah did u try using the US activated sim with your note2 and see if data works with MB1 or later. Reason I am asking is I had updated mb1 in my note2 in which data was working perfectly with non activated new sim. Don't know abt china but india sure does not hv a significant number of cdma smartphone users. Also irony is big red is leaving gsm unlocked in its cdma phone whereas sprint is locking it all up. Anyway if it continues it will be bad for our community in terms of new models availability and programming.
