I think I am still not charged for surfing with data plan in L1. My unbilled usage is definitely a voice usage as it has not increased from yesterday and I have surfed thru Operamini a lot in the past couple of day. So enjoy if u hv L1 or some other unlimited Rworld plan.

@sadikbhai I think this file is the same as the one for 4.5.127 of Bell Mobility, at least the size is the same and based on the fact that RIM provides the same unbranded OS to all the service providers. Please see if u can confirm after downloading and comparing the files.

Guys I am able to download mails from gmail, get weather thru HTC home and browse thru Opera mini even now. The services were discontinued last friday but was able to surf again since this sunday. I do not have any data plans only L1 and till now have not been charged anything for all my browsing but today just checked my unbilled info and it is Rs26 which shld be zero. Btw I use a touch and am using the UTS id to logon to rworld. But cant use google maps

Evdo on BB or on mobile is not permitted currently and that is the reason voice calls will not be permitted on evdo data cards. Thats bad news. Lets wait and watch what happens.

Any idea if they will be including BB services in EVDO also. The way they r charging Rs1099 for unltd BB, I think they shld, unless some TRAI or DOT rule prohibits.

Yeah guys Wap was closed by Reliance on friday and some parts of saturday, but it has been working now for the past 24 hrs. and being on L1 plan it is completely free of cost also for me, without subscriptions to a data plan. Now for some means to surf without paying.

I recently bought a brand new Verizon 8130 pearl on eBay in the US.The seller mentioned bad E$N in the description. Now when my sis got delivery, punching in the #4357* code showed the phone no. as 000 000 4954 but when she dialled *228 and finished the IVR without punching in any codes or numbers, the phone number changed to 419 389 XXXX. And surprisingly she can make and receive cals on that number. Now how is it possible that a no. can be activated without anybody requesting for the same and if calls r made from that phone, who will be charged, considering nobody has applied for a new no. Also when dialling ##000000 the screen says UR FEATURE UPDATE CANNOT BE COMPLETED. Hope someone can throw some light on this. She is scared that it might be a stolen phone and she will get in trouble cos she switched it on and latched on to Verizon network, which means she can be traced. All the time the network was Verizon. Thanks in advance

Thanks, these precautions I have already taken and the phone was switched off with the battery removed sepatately. Yes the proof of purchase from eBay is there. Well getting the phone to India might have to wait till somebody is coming, mebbe a coupla months. Well incidentally all my used cell phones I buy from US are able to connect to Reliance network with international roaming, but i cant make calls with those phones. In this case it was a brand new Verizon phone and OTA programming was done for this phone and then it started working and the strange thing is calls could be made. Anyway will go into diagnostics once I get it here. A long wait maybe Thanks for all your advice and help P.s. May need more of ur help once I get the phone here

@nawalsingal Surprisingly i found 4.5 to be having a good battery life. BB specs says a battery life of 220 minutes and I am regularly testing it to be a around 210 mins. Yes there is a prob with memory drain it goes from 17M to 14M very fast, with all the apps closed. @muffadalkm The ringer in4.5.127 is slower than that in 4.5.101. and I have one of the loudest ringer, u remember the old Nokia DoMiSo, still I find it difficult to listen if i am in another room in the house or office.

Dear Mufaddal, Loud ringer on a BB 8830. I'm dying to know how you got that?? cos everyone I know and everywhere I read people are pissed off cos of the low ringer volume.

Have been running 4.5.0.127 for a day now. Signal reception is better, lower dropped calls. Free memory is lower than 101, but full screen video works although partially. Seems to be snappier,but cant say for sure. Sanjay

I am unlocked Verizon with Reliance. but anyway which is better the new official Bell 4.5 or the Sprint update on the 4.2 OS? Can you direct me to the site or forum discussing the SPrint update?? Thanks

Hi all, I do not use Opera Mini but definitely check my mails on my HTC Touch for an average of more than 50 K per day, received my bill on Jan1 and havent been charged for net access. Will start Operamini and update. Btw I am on L1 plan. Hope that means that all u guys on L1 or L4 plan with Operamini will enjoy ur free net access with Reliance

Dear Hetal, need help i let customisation run by mistake on sprint official 3.03 rom and now cant connect to the net. always says sprint vision error. hv loaded many roms after that but same error persists. please help. sanjay
