ahem! 100 MBps of local bandwidth. this means international bandwidth could be low and this sets the stage for download limits.

as usual nothing is said about any download limits. the ISP's will provide even 10 mbps speeds, but set a miserable 500 MB/1 GB download limit.

When the last mile local cable operators play mafia and prevent ISP's like Sify and Hathway from rolling out their services properly, will such policy announcements have any effect?

broadband is the most misused term in India. They might be offering 256 kbps or 512 kbps connections, but the download limits simply ****!! Whats the point in having such high speed connections if u cant download stuff to enjoy such speed?

Removing the antenna in my 2030 redues the range bars to half when there is full range. Also the phone goes in and out of service area when its in my pant pocket or when it is in my shirt pocket in basements. So I think its better to keep the antenna. Maybe we could find a better material which is shorter and can be used to replace the current antenna.... Any material specialists here?

Since almost all ISP's have download limits, it would be good to start an info thread in this forum on ISP's which have plans with NO download limits. Only such connection makes sense for heavy surfers / download3rs........

Being an electronics student, I think having better bandwidth will lead to less skipping in voice calls and better data transfer rates especially if Reliance rolls out the EVDO feature of the RD7230 set.
