Credit Limit On Reliance Postpaid Subscribers
himanav replied to bellamkonda's topic in Reliance Communications
Since I am on a Joy 499 plan. My bill would realistically never be 5500/-. I am anyway married so no girlfriend also to run up these bills. Rconnect unlimited also won't bump my monthly usage to 5500. so in that sense, its great for me. I am not sure if everybody gets these high limits or its for me because 1. I am a very old customer. 2. I am a very faithful customer (giving my bills on time) 3. I am on a very high rental plan. Well if other boarder can publish the figures they got from reliance, then we can make a better sense of how reliance is arriving at these figures. manav -

This month bill has a extra page, with text as mentioned in the first page. They have given me a credit limit of 5500/ My average bills are around 1500 per month and I had RIM connection for over 2 years and I have never missed my payment ever. manav -
Sure there are a lot. Just google. The one I use is AdShield. Neatly blocks out ads on pages. Also cuts out unneccesary popups. I have a licensed copy of the software. But you can download evaluation copy from their site also.

Got the following mail from CC. After a lot of effort (3 weeks, 18 calls and 6 complaints), they finally resolved the Rconnect problem for me. The issue was that somehow my phone got Deactivated as modem. They again reactivated it from server end. This is the mail they sent me. I was able to run Rconnect this morning. In response to your concern regarding R-Connect not functioning, please note that as per the confirmation received from our technical team the requested data service has been re-provisioned. cisvc.exe is a process that belongs to the Microsoft Windows Operating System. It is used to monitor the memory usage in CIDAEMON.exe and prevent low memory problems. This is an essential system process and should not be removed. This program is an essential system process. You might be facing the issue because u are running on low memory. Well, if you go to court over this I think they will find it illegal. Because you are using somebody creation (music) without paying him royalty. Basically it would be as legal or illegal as having a MP3. But finally it falls in grey area i believe. Just for record, Legal ringtones pay royalty to the company which holds the copyright to the music. BTW, please stop using caps. Its equivalent of shouting. I am sure you will be getting some fire from ADMINS on this group soon.

actually I tried all permutation and combination of username/passwords. Including 934371XXXX. Tried giving same password as username, also tried giving old password (080 series). But none worked. My real worry is why suddenly internet/password stopped working. Can somebody update if internet/password as username/password is still working for RIM.

CC guys told me that sys upgrade, hence they cannot take down my request. I called again later and they told me then that they will look into the matter. But my confidence in them is low. I also tried *412 but got a message back that my phone was already active as a modem. I am in bangalore.

I have a RIM postpaid connection I have been using Rconnect for over a year now. Before the 10 digit no came I used to use 0803671XXXX/0803671XXXX as my username and password. After my number was changed to 10 digit, I started using internet/password as username and password to connect to the net. From yesterday night my Rconnect has stopped working. Its says username/password is invalid on the domain. I also tried these combinations but got nothing. 0934371XXXX/0934371XXXX 934371XXXX/934371XXXX 0803671XXXX/0803671XXXX I called up CC and as usual either their system is under upgrade or in downtime or they don't know anything.

I am in bangalore. The signal on my LG2030 RIM postpaid mobile sometimes goes off suddenly. after a few seconds it starts showing the full signal strength again. Though this occurence is not very frequent for me. This generally happens one in a day for me.

If you are in no hurry to download the file, you can change the software settings to start downloading in background as soon as you connect to net. This whenever you get ON NET to do your usual work or check mail or rimweb, your 1 GB file will be download in the background. Just a note of caution, this might take months.

You need a software that allows you the ability to do segment download. These softwares will do the following. 1. Divide up the 1GB download into X segments. Out of these X segments, they will start downloading Y segments simultaneously. 2. In case of broken connection, you will be able to recover exactly from the point where you left off. 3. Start the software in background so that as soon as you are connected to the internet the software will start downloading the segments in background. You can find many softwares like this if you google.

I don't think the cut will happen across all tariff plans. e.g. The cut might be close to 35 paisa for Joy 149 plans. There will be smaller or no cuts on tariff rates of Joy 499 plan for example. Also I don't think DAPO will get a tariff cut.
