^^^ I thnk u missing a point here there are 2 different one is Unlimited @ night plan for 499 and second is unlimited night add on pack for 199. Night add on pack cannot be used stand alone pack. U have to have some other plan to get this pack... gotcha??

RGSM is not expecting many customers after MNP enforced. But they were desperate to launch GSM because of RCDMA churn which wud have gone to Airtel or Vodafone or others. now they can atleast offer some goodies and retain CDMA churned customers on their GSM network. (Daal ghee me girey ya ghee daal me) its the same. I can see reliance CDMA going Telstra way of conversion, for voice its GSM and for Data its CDMA. and they can do good in long run as far as i see major bandwidth issues in india. GSM 3G is just a hype, and will rest soon, Video calling and other related 3G services are not practical as of now. and it doesnt matter how much data technology supports, what matters is how reasonable it is.

Bharti Airtel withdraws '95' on its fixed line service. i am wondering why all this pain of new series ya, instead they can do 11 digit mobile, which will never exhaust.

Nothing is booming its just they throwing away free sim cards and people are buying it. and for new entrants government have to show scope in telecoms. just look around and see how many serious friends or famly really bought GSM connection on intention of using it. india being a most competitive market only quantity matters here. nothing else.

MVNO soon to be allowed in india. And VIRGIN being largest MVNO in the world will benefit TATA as well as other companies. But VIRGIN have tough competition in india as NOKIA also planning to launch MVNO in india. Imagine NOKIA as service provider, who will not buy them?

U dotn have to buy it, just submit ur documents and get the card free. retailers get some buck for selling connection and on FRC.
