His issue is resolved i think, Updated his PRL through CDMAupdater, and deleted some unwanted software.

yes it will launch on said date as its DHIRUBHAIs Bday.

They are launching it on 28th of this month.

@ Honest GSM and CDMA is very different technology, as u see IMEI is very important in GSM, and no such parameter is required in CDMA to block or trace calls. in CDMA ESN and MIN is the combination for access, and in GSM only IMEI is the source. so if ESN and MIN combination is not matching according to service provider database it will already deny access, where in GSM if IMEI is wrong u can still get network access to make calls and SMS. So CDMA is not under such scanner at first place. google or wiki about it and than comment on such issues as this can misguide to new members here. Hope u understand the issue and sensitiveness of entire matter.

U know i dont take calls on saturday and sundays. well i already gave u solution, and u didnt try it yet. never mind just try installing Stock rom of qwest. and let me know. if problem persist, will replace the handset, dont worry. I wonder people never start topic when i take hundred of their calls and troubleshoot for hours. But if i miss calls sms for couple of days posts start coming

Just try to install latest QWEST rom. Download it HERE Its because of sprint Radio on QWEST i think. u just install qwest rom and see, as it will downgrade its radio as well. about my not picking phone, so as u know i dont pick calls saturday-sunday. will call u now in sometime.

@ Gadgetgirl and vivekmukherji HTC S720 is utterly waste of money, the handset was launched in USA in year 2005 and its badly out dated there and here as well. Our monopolistic CDMA service providers feeding us this thinking we don't have any options left. (Thanks to HP) Trust me i never ever heard a good thing about this smart phone, (Its not PDA/PPC) everyone bought it always said they have wasted their money. ill suggest u to go for Palm Treo 755, or HTC MOGUL (my sincere advice irrespective where u buy it from). this 2 handsets are real worth of money.

IMEI in GSM, is same as IMSI in CDMA. ESN is nothing but just Electronic Serial Number. which they register on their network to give excess. MIN number along with Country code is called IMSI, and incase its temperedor not proper the network will block such handsets already. But as far as imported handsets are mostly RUIM based and IMSI is feeded in RUIM not the handset. Non RUIM CDMA handsets are also with proper IMSI, as in CDMA without proper IMSI handset wont get access as network verify ESN along with MIN and gives access. So bottom line is CDMA HANDSETs have no problem with any of restriction made by government.

TATA and all other CDMA service provider is fully compatible with ESN registering system. Only Reliance is not doing it.
