So many people have got the handset, but nobody replied to my query yet. Requesting again - 1. Is it possible to set email accounts on the phone (Just like GSM phones) 2. Is there any documents veiwer application available for s40 phones like this? Cheers!

Nokia 6270 (GSM) is almost similar to 6265 CDMA, in looks and features, both. You must have seen that handset.

Rohan -- I made a query a few posts above. I want to know if email accounts can be set on this handsets?
-
Panks...Mohsin....and whoever bought his handset.. Please confirm if email accounts can be set on this phone...

Just one query for guys who have bought the phone - Is it possible to setup email accounts in this phone? This is a very common feature in GSM handsets, but is it available in this phone? I am doubtful, as the Nokia India website does not mention this but the Product note from Reliance says, it does support email. Please confirm.....

I am interestd Kshah in MotoQ..only if you assure that it will work on Reliance. Cheers!

Abhishek -- Answers to your queries. 1. Reliance charges Rs 3/MMS 2. Only silver black colour is available for Nokia 6265. 3. I guess not. Though you will get chinese covers in a few months after the availability. 4. Typically just Rs. 22 for an HCC. But it seems this handset is RUIM enabled so as of now it is unclear how the existing subscribers will be able to switch to this handset using their existing number. 5. Bluetooth is available. Cheers!

As I said before, It is clearly mentioned is several 6265 reviews that one can have unlimited video recording depending on the space available on the external memory...

Sim card(Ruim) slot is there right from d nokia 2280 (first nokia phone released on Rim). & If it is true dat Ruim slot is enabled in this phone then how almost non ruim users presently will benefit from this or it is clear fault to release this handset for d present eager consumer or it is a building of RCL brand image that they release high end sets in Rim :'( that too for New connections only When HCC can enable transfer of services from one set to another, then it is technically very much possible to transfer the services to RUIM too. Now only thing is 'how'. May be this is one issue that is causing the delay as watever solution they might have thought of, is not ready yet...

Simple..because 3250 will not work on Reliance...

Hey..PTT was started by Hutch and Tata Indicom but was taken back not because of any profitability issue, but because of the regulatory issues. DoT has not approved PTT in India yet and they do not intend to do so in near future because of so called 'security measures'.

Posting 6265 under wrong catogory must be a silly mistake...Reliance web guys/content providers have always been freaky. Even Kyocera KX2 is video recording enabled, but then it was posted under same 'Color Handset with camera' category. So you guys need not worry about the video recording feature. As per my knowledge, it can record clips of 30 seconds on the phone memory and unlimited* on external card. That said, it can record upto 2 hours of video on a 2GB external card.

Good News finally...I wish if it were RUIM enabled..alas! it isn't.

Not again....so many myths about CDMA and WCDMA...Factuallly, CDMA and WCDMA are two different technologies, and WCDMA is a 3G standard for GSM platform. So far Nokia has not come with any Global (CDMA+GSM) phone, and it won't in future as it is shutting down its CDMA business. Though Motorola, Samsung and couple other smaller manufacturers have Global phones in their product line. If ever it would have been possible to use WCDMA handset in CDMA networks, I would have used my Nokia 6630 which is a GSM/WCDMA phone and can be bought for about 11K nowadays...Anyway, its irrelevant though.

Reliance Communication To Enter Gsm Services
basant_jp replied to abhay's topic in Reliance Communications
No way, RUIM can not enable a GSM handset to run on CDMA. RUIM would just enable the freedom to switch CDMA handsets at your convenience...Any RUIM enabled handset can be used then, similar to GSM. -

Whats the Total Subscriber base Of Telcom Operators in India?
basant_jp replied to FEVIN-RAJ's topic in The Lounge
For Association of Unified Telecom Service Providers of India (AUSPI) website - http://www.auspi.in It has circe wide/nation wide detailed subscriber information for both CDMA service providers (include details on FWP and FLP as well) as well as details on other operators havng Unified License -
See...if you have a genuine reason (visit http://www.passport.nic.in/tatkaal.htm for more details), you can get the passport under Tatkal scheme. But mind it, you HAVE TO visit the passport office to apply for that. Normally Urgent passport are issued within 10-12 days time. Process is not too cumbersome if you have all your documents ready. I would not suggest going for any agents for the same.

No vicky....the article very well referred to to Reliance CDMA... Blackberry has several CDMA handsets too...

Schumi....you are forgetting Motorola, world's second larget mobile handset manufacturer and the largest telecom solutions provider. Motorola has several high end models to its profile like CDMA Razr and Motorola Q even at present, and are defintely superior to LG or Samsung. Reliance just need to shift their focus from sub $40 handsets or atleast broaden their horizon. Choices are many....LG, Samsung, Motorola, Siemens, Sony Ericsson, Sanyo, Treo....numerous infact. As for Nokia, their market share in the CDMA handset sales is almost negligible....and it will not affect Qualcomm or for that matter the CDMA technology in any way.
