Cybron voice dialI found to be the best. MS is lousy as you said for American or british accent as per version it is made for. Hi guys, I think MSVC is an excellllent software. I have been using it since i bought the 6700. Earlier i had the US version which i admit was not very useful for us indians as the accent required is different from what we have here. However the UK version, which i now use is great and it totally recognizes the indian accent we speak in. Also the recognition seems to be better than the US version. With a couple of tweaks, it is the best voice software i have seen. I have a cab file of this software which i have on the storage card on my 6700 and so it is very easy to install after every hard reset. Amit

@Dj I tried it with total commander and i was able to copy the file successfully. Now even after the restart the logfile is not appearing. Thanks man. Amit

@Dj I tried to do the procedure. But there is an existing PhoneExt_service.dll in the windows directory and the system does not allowed it to be deleted or overwritten. So the logfile keeps on appearing again and again no matter how many times i delete it. Amit

Even i think that this latest D release is slower. The phone is acting sluggish and just now it got hung on the today screen. I think now i will have to hard reset. Amit

hi guys, its good that all of you are trying and getting to surf the internet thru wifi on ur ppc6700. but i for one am trying fo a long time and not succeeding. are you guys using an always on broadband connection thru wifi ? i am using bsnl broadband connection which is a pppoe connection and requires a user name and password. someone pls come up with a solution. Upgrade complete but after hard reset, the phone is hanging on the startup screen and the earlier image of the PPC6700 is not there, just static. will try once more. Flashed it for the third time, but the same problem. Phone hangs up on the startup screen which is showing static. Pls help Hetal. Amit

First flashing failed during upgrading of the extended rom. trying again.

Hi Hetal, I was trying to find out the cracks folder in programs and the sms scheduler but could not find it. I had reflashed with the latest 69 MB rom. Did i do something incorrectly. Rest everything is working perfectly. Also Pls can you explain what the codes in the EPST folder mean and do. Amit Oberoi

hi all, outgoing mms still not working. anyone has a way out for the outgoing mms pls share. @Hetal, incoming mms now being received after reinstalling latest upgrade. howevr in the mms inbox i am able to see only the info about the mms like its name, size date of expiry etc. even when i mark it for download it does not come thru. any ideas.

Downloaded the new upgrade and flashed it. Outgoing MMS still not working. Incoming MMS yet to check. Amit Oberoi

This upgrade is excellent. The phone is running noticeably faster. The voice recognition in the microsoft voice command is also better and now i have to speak in a very low voice and even then it is recognizing the names correctly. however, i do miss smart dialling in the dialler. Is there any way to incorporate smart dialling in the upgrade. Also i will download the new rom as suggested by hetal and check out the mms part. Overall, a great upgrade. Hats off to you Hetal. One more thing i would like to suggest is that you might put the date of release in the name of your revised roms which will be easier for all to keep track of inluding yourself. Amit Oberoi

I tried sending an mms from nokia6265 to my ppc6700, but it gives the error 1012 and says " could not prepare vision services" same as petar. anybody... Amit Oberoi

Hi all, I have flashed the 3.5.4.A, and will try to send an mms to myself. However how can we send an mms as there seems to be no option for that. But rest everything seems good. Phone seems to be faster. and the smart dialling can be done by pressing contacts on the today screen, so no need to install a smart dialler. However, i have not been able to figure how to make a conference call using this dialler. If any body knows, pls share. Amit Oberoi

Hi again, Also it seems the smart dialing capability is not there. Hetal, i first flashed with the file Hetal-AKU3.5.4.A.rar and after that for the extended rom with the file Hetal-AKU3.5.4-ExROM.rar. I hope that is the right sequence. Amit Oberoi

hi guys, i have been following this post and a great job done by hetal. Congrats to you. I have just flashed my handset and the first impressions are good. I have been able to load back all my backup thru activesync. However one thing i wanst able to find was MMS. How do we send mms, if at all possible. Amit Oberoi

Hey hpnasik, thanks for the quick reply. However, i connect thru bluetooth and not thru usb. I tried changing usb to bluetooth pan in the internet connection sharing in the ppc but it doesnt get connected. I will try the wifi once i reach home. Hi guys, I flashed my phone with the nojunk aku 3.5 yesterday night while watching the match and i am very much impressed with the final results (definitely not the result of the match though). The phone has become faster and my bt headset is now not getting disconnected time and again. I am using windows vista so there were some initial hiccups, but then i got the solution on the net and it went thru smoothly after that. One query though, i am not being able to connect thru rconnect after that, any comments anyone ? Hpnasik, you have mentioned KSE Trufax 2004 in the list of softwares you are using. Are you able to fax docs using ppc6700, and if so, pls tell me how. And there is still the eternal question for me. I hope somebody answers it this time. I am able to get connected to the wifi network at my home and office, but not able to browse internet thru wifi. I have bsnl broadband connection at home and using my laptop i browse internet thru wifi easily. Pls somebody help. Amit Oberoi

Hi hpnasik, and thanks for the speedy reply. But my problem is not getting connected to the network. That i am able to do. The problem is that like in a desktop or laptop, we can access the shared folders of other computers on the network, how can i do that from my ppc 6700. Also, i am using a BSNL broadband connection at home and i have setup a wifi network so i can access internet thru my laptop thru wifi. Now when i have to access internet thru the laptop all i have to do is switch on the wireless modem and connect thru the laptop. But using the ppc, how can i get access to the internet thru the wireless modem at my home. In both the cases stated above, i am able to get connected to the network easily. what do i do ? amit
