Received Hero from sadik yesterday.Thanks all for helping me to take this decision. Its an excellent handset regrading call quality,reception etc.lack of keyboard is a problem for me since i was using palm treo755p.but with usage its improving. Its getting connected to net by default.No need to setup anything.I have a few doubts regarding this: Please tell me where i have to put User name: SC810@wap.relianceinfo.com ? I have activated net plan "windows mobile 500 MB",for that you need to dial to #777 with username and pass as our mobile no.Where will i create this connection? or by default it like that? Please help.

Can we add windows mobile plans to HTC hero? http://www.rcom.co.in/Rcom/personal/windows-mobile/tariff.html They have given cdma settings too.. http://www.rcom.co.in/Rcom/personal/windows-mobile/internetsettings.html They have given rates for 'Windows Mobile 500 MB' for Monthly Charge Rs 199, Allowed Monthly Usage 500 MB, Charges beyond Allowed Usage Rs 2 per MB. Just now called customer-care and their response is, we can add these plans to our existing voice plans for CDMA. Can some one clarify this point?

thanks for the review.i already ordered hero and waiting for it to arrive.You said it supports push mail.I am on NJ249 plan,will it be costly if i put on push mail with this plan?Is there any addon pack for more data usage?If i use hero for browsing and all net related uses,which plan is best?Can i receive calls when i browse the net? Also tell me how to copy palm treo755p address book to hero? Please clarify.

I too vote for R-CDMA. With the introduction of new plans its unbeatable. Coverage & clarity too best in Kerala.

I too got a sms notification regrading this.Bsnl is trying to improve. Why can't reliance come up with such schemes?

Actually i got this handset on Last Thursday and i fully charged it on Friday morning.I have used a lot in two days.More than 3 hours of music, not much calls,used camera,blue-tooth(transferred some songs,photos and contacts) and browsed the UI for much time.Still now it showing two bars battery.I think by today night i have to recharge. Its very user friendly.you can send and receive multiple items via bluetooth.You can send files or songs directly to memory card via blue-tooth.You need to open slider for taking photos.No flash.Keyboard is flat,not very good for text messaging.Overall its a good phone for its money in CDMA range.

I bought this phone yesterday from trichur,kerala for 6000rs.Looks good,pretty good slide too.its in Grey color. One problem is speaker is placed under the phone,so volume get reduced when we keep phone on table in normal position.Has a very bright 2.2" display. I bought this phone from Thrissur yesterday for 5500. The sound quality,range and battery good for a phone this price. One thing i badly missed is the limited speed dial feature(only 9 keys,before i was using LG 6250,it has 99 locations) Over all a good phone for this price. Need to find out more in course of time.

Can we use both Reliance CDMA & RGSM SIM on BB8830? Please clarify? Is it possible to use netconnect on it? What all the features you cannot use in that phone?

Got the RGSM sim yesterday.Cost 25 for sim and need to recharge for another 25rs. so total 50rs. I got it from Guruvayoor,Kerala- from a retail shop not WW.He is dealing other GSM also.No rush for getting RGSM.Lots of sim is there.You need one photo and a photostat of identity proof. Activated in 5 mins. Balance showing as Main Bal: 23.75(six months) + 7.50(two days validity). Calls are very clear.Calls are going to Idea,Airtel,Reliance CDMA,BSNL,Vodaphone without any problem.Some time you need to try 2 or 3 times to get call.But today morning no problem in getting connected.Didn't tried Edge.How to activate it?Network range is better than Bsnl in some area-need to test further.Getting full signals in most time.
