You just put airdroid hotspot mode on and you can share files from your laptop or tablet. you don't have to connect it to any network or router.I have tested this from my evo3D. On my mobile wifi and Mobile network was off,Sprint hotspot was on,airdroid was running in hotspot mode.i was able to transfer files.

I too had an increase in my EVDO speeds also after zeroing out the IP addresses i was getting before 1.5Mpbs-download & 0.36Mbps before.

Tried the solution and now you tube works fine with EVDO! without any hitches..

Youtube app issue: Whenever I attempt to play a youtube video using the youtube app on evo3D ... "There was a problem while playing, touch to retry." All details and comments and video thumbnails are showing properly. But it happens only in EVDO mode,absolutely no problem in wifi,it even load a single second of the video. only you tube has problem in evdo mode, rest browsing or downloading apps from market has no problem.I am getting download speeds upto 1.5Mb/s with evdo. Any fix for this problem?

i have checked, my 16gb is also a class 4 card.A '4' inside a big 'C' is etched on card. so i just swapped cards. both are having almost same transfer rate too. The ring volume of evo 3d is slightly lower than my old hero. Hope it will be corrected by htc in future updates.

Just got Htc evo 3d from @amit. I have a fresh 16Gb sandisk microsdhc, can i use it instead of current 8gb? will there be any speed diff.? need to format before inserting? can i do a blind copy of contents from 8gb to 16gb? any points to be noted?

I am using a standard mini USB cable to charge Hero from Tata Manza USB port.U can charge and play mp3 from the hero via usb or bluetooth or Aux port.
