Spamming SMS can be stopped by Telecom Operator no matter which scheme you use. You cannot use unlimited mins/sms schemes for commercial use. its basic condition laid by any operator. Baaki consult Ram Joothmalani (PUN intended)

Basically, this phone is Made by HTC(taiwan). Its same company that makes O2, iMate, Dopod, etc etc. So people need not worry. You are buying a phone made by company which has global sales of over 4 billion US$.

Bharti , Reliance , BSNL & HUTCH. these will be main telecos of near Future. Idea, Spice, Tata, aircel etc will be Tier-II Telecos.

A chinese company Yulong- has made worlds First Dual mode- GSM + CDMA phone working on both networks at same time. Its based on windows CE platform. It supports RUIM CARD. Its currently supported only in chinese version with China Unicom. However English language phone is expected in October 06. The market price in china is close to 700$ US. This phone uses complete set of 2 hardware needed for GSM & CDMA. However, the Yulong 728 G2 ( GSM + GSM) Dual network phone is out in English language support. this phone supports 2 GSM networks at same time. I searched the forum for word YULONG & got no Results, so i assume this is the first post regarding this phone.

never know with Reliance. they are gearing up for 75 miilion GSM subscriber base. so my guess is as good as yrs.... they are all set.. now ball is in govt court to give permission.

NO EXPANDABLE MEMORY.. NO EXTERNAL SPEAKER LG Seems to be missing one or other important feature in all of its phone. It doent make sense that LG6230 comes with expandable memory but no bluetooth... & this one has bluetooth but only internal memory of 65 mb. Source data sheet in post # 35 above.

hurray... finally this phone seems to be picking up interests of people. proof: - speculation of date launch. Common guys... be more proactive... give those dead cells some exercise & come up with more variety of numbers (launch date)

Reliance is in postition to Roll-out GSM services within one month of govt approvals which are likely to come in thier favor prety soon. Dec 28 ..hmm maybe. With Indian Govt & Reliance ..you can never be too sure.

@manishag - try asking the company for thick paper cards with magnetic strips rather then plastic card to save cost on yr project.(that is if u need too many cards) @ashoksoft..which school u were in... Robotics & all in school. the onlytime i saw robots when i was in school was a show on DoorDarshan called " Giant Robot ". heheh I did manage to get my DIY kits from USA, but didnt have not proper guidance & built very crude little things from RC cars & a KIT called "ROBOTICS".

i guess all he needs is magnetic strip cards to store data of some kind... some hotels use such technology for Locking the ROOM doors. its no rocket science dude. there are specialized company for this. i guess u can ask some good 5 star/ 7 star hotels & find out.
