consider DELL.... Centrino duo procesor-2 models for 49,999 & 55K respectivly. Chek dell india site for detail config. the higher priced one has Wifi n DVD Dual layer writer. Personally, i like toshibas.. PROBLEM FREE. in last 4 years havent visited a service centre once. bought new one last yr..again a toshiba.

Its already in INDIA. Its been there in DAKC since many many days /weeks/months....god knows .. The question is not about NOKIA... they have handset ready... its about Reliance... whenever they think its right time to flood market with the handset they shall launch it. remember question is not always about getting the handset ready fast... its about launching it at right time so it do no affect sales of other models & there is too much inventory

Reliance Web Worlds are available on rent for use as call centre or similar activity from 10 pm - 8 am. There are 240 odd web worlds with each having avg. 8 computers. The idea is to help small business run thier small call centres/tele marketing/help desk with low budget. All WWs have multimedia computer with broadband. Each computer shall cost 8000 RS/mth. The real idea is to make money on un-used hours of WWs infrastructure. Reliance wont incur any additional cost as the setup is ready.

Awareness of kyocera as a brand among general public or "aam junta" of india is not great. Also there is Kyocera K352 Phone which happens to have identical features of LG 6230 - VGA camera + 256mb memory +Mp3 player+ candy bar shape. are kyocera in GSM segment ? i think not...

"If it hits US, India is not too far in this digital age." HOw come PPC6700 phone which hit USA last yr itself hasnt been launched in india. (PPC6700 is CDMA cousin of iMate K-Jam GSM phone) Besides lots of LG models in USA has not seen the sunrise in INDIA. Lets Face it... unless RIM allow customers to choose thier own handsets, we have to wait until those darn idiots in handset dept. of Relaince roll out the phones which actually makes diffrence.

yes very much. whether its SKYPE or any other reasonbly good software... u can use bluetooth headset. Atleast i manged my JABRA to work. SKYPE has good quality of calls but so do many softwares. Net2phone, dialpad , iconnecthere , voipstunt, gizmo project just to name a few. "Even Paypal has got so many cases.. pending" - maybe but its not fraud company. atleast i havent expirienced anything in last 4 yrs that i hold an account with paypal.

Let me know. bsant , i know its the EDVO technology that gave that high speed.I just mentioned Sprint as to mention service provider.Also i realize that it takes time in INDIA. the point was that even if handset has EDVO, we shall not derive its benefits for long time to come. Even i have fair idea abt TRAI, DOT & sprectrum allocation debacle. Anyway, lets wait n see. 1 year is not a bad time frame as yet. PRICE - 20K is little high. If they dont sell enough piece in first 2 mths.. they shall start giving discounts, free talk time n stuff. Lets wait n watch guys.

HA ha... First thing... forget abt nokia capable of EVDO.... Ask whethere RIM capable of providing EVDO speeds. My cuzin is using PPC 6700 handset in USA of sprint service. gets 600kpbs ++ speed via EVDO. The internet is free unless used for commerical benefits. Lets see if RIM comes anywhere near this.

i would rather like expensive models at subsidized rates with 1 yr contract of service like USA. 500$ phones are 149$ or 199$ when u take annual contract of serivce of verizon or sprint.

imported RUIM card type phones maybe cheaper than INDIA. Some one who has relative abroad coming in this time of year .. plz try what chandrababa mentioned above.

well, its typical of nokia to price new handsets heavily. it becomes cheap in 3 months time.
