Blackberry May No Longer Be Exclusive To Airtel
petar replied to vmsanghrajka's topic in Reliance Communications
Based on past experince ... we are assured that Reliance is likely to go for cheap korean companies.... so it can source devices cheaply & sell to us at whatever price they want. Reliance policy:- To hell with customer satisfaction & whatever he wants.... We decide what he needs to have & at what price. Take it or leave it. -
VOIPBUSTER , VIOPSTUNT, VOIPCHEAP , INTERNETCALLS , VOIPDISCOUNT All these sites are owned by one person/company. How do they afford giving free calls to so many countries for one time fee of 10 euro... they open a new site very often. Then they remove free calling to some country in thier old site & add it to new site. So u have to subscribe to new site for another 10 euros (if that country is important to you) Thier terms & conditions includes that they can add/remove free calling to any country they want. This is the way they make enough money to survive till now. Anyway, it beneficial to lots of people like us. If you think u can make more calls than 10 euros in 45-50 days.... nothing beats these sites. Voice clarity is awsome accross europe,USA & Asia.(depends on yr internet connection) NOTE: This is a genuine company & no case of cheating has come across as yet. But i prefer paypal then to directly use credit card. Credit card infromation is very sensitive, it better to use it on one trusted paypal site & pay everyone from there... rather than disclosing details on every new site.

First of all not sure if they are selling at manish market. Assuming that thier are selling it, 6265 has to be loaded with reliance software / requires some network configuration to work on thier network. so whoever sells it might have imported piece & i m not sure if it will work here.

Has RIM Started Accepting Non Reliance Handset
petar replied to reply2manish's topic in Technical / OS related
amtrag, yr own last line says it all. "LG handsets are indeed OK (although not as good as Nokia)." & ye I m LG handset user myself... it works... but its not worth what we pay for. But then, every LG user might have something more to add to this discussion. So until i shift to another phone.... lets continue people. Guys read n enjoy. -
Has RIM Started Accepting Non Reliance Handset
petar replied to reply2manish's topic in Technical / OS related
mathew, I agree that all cannot afford expensive handsets. But i m saying is they are getting is not even worth thier hard earned 1600 Rs... the LG handsets are comparable to CHINA quality. As far as so many people buying LG is concerned - i already mentioned before. LG & RIM have some kinda tieup or understanding. thats why Reliance is keen on promoting LG to "Aam junta of INDIA". read those words carefully my friend, the golden rule of Branding by jagdip kapoor - "Jo dikta hai, woh bikta hai" Rim promotes LG thru various offers, makes it visible thru Webworlds & advts & thats why it sells. There is no single offer like free talktime or money back or anything on kyocera or nokia. Also, why has samsung stopped making low end handsets after "BOSS". Simply cause both wanted the low end market & Reliance chose LG over samsung. It shall be really intresting to monitor next move of samung to re-enter CDMA market. Again, personal opinion. & yea this is just cool discussion. plz dont get serious about the whole issue. -
SOme days back rediff had an article that Reliance is testing some handsets which work both on GSM & CDMA networks. Useful for roaming executives.... Any news ???
-
Its not with CDMA... its with BIG bully Reliance. Part of thier business plan to rack in the mollah by over pricing the handsets in the name of giving proprietary Reliance software on the handsets. they have given new meaning to CDMA - Crazy & Dominating Mukesh Ambani (Cause he was brain behind infocom business.)
-
there is no bluetooth. No mp3.No FM. Not appealing at all. Another ****ing LG handset.
-
The phone mentioned above is sold by Verizon for 149$ only for a exclusive 1 yr Contract for its service. If u leave the service in between... the exit fees & charges are too high to risk it just for handset. Reliance should learn & atleast keep it in 10-12 k RANGE WITH 1 yr contract. As it is..poor Dapo customers have 3 yr period of contract. another 1 yr means nothing to them for decent handset.

Has RIM Started Accepting Non Reliance Handset
petar replied to reply2manish's topic in Technical / OS related
ANSWER TO MAIN QUESTION IN THIS DISCUSSION Do reliance accept OPEN MARKET handset. - answer is NO. Reason - How else do you think they make money. Who would buy the Cheap quality Handsets of LG. RIM & LG have some kinda tie up. SO reliance is keen on selling LG handsets to aam junta of India in the name of increasing tele density & racking in the moolah selling 500 Rs handsets for 1500-2000 Rs. LG on thier part give most lowest grade of handsets & poorest grade of "customer service". (sometimes i wonder whether we should even call it a service.) -
i usuually get reply from chairmans office. but you are right.. they take time coming on *333 etc. reply regarding new handsets is that " your query is being forwarded to concern department & they shall take a decesion in best intrests of company & the customer." i wonder @ what pace they work. even the babus at govt offices might have taken a fast decesion had they been shown a GANDHI Bapu note.

How To Make Cdma Phone Work On Any Provider In India?
petar replied to Manoj Reddy's topic in Technical / OS related
SOME ONE PLEASE ANSWER THIS ONE -
HOPE, thats the driving force man. They have a service assurance team in contact us section in RIM website now. lets some of us write to them, some write to chariman office. atleast it will make them move thier lazy *** of the comfort chair. lets give it a shot people. what say ? My contibution till now = 5 emails (2 to chairman,2 to custmer care, 1 to service assurance)
-
yes. i know abt HTC. ther are over 4 billion $ in annual sales now. No mean achivement. I wrote email to them to contact Relaince & wrote to reliance to contact HTC. No reply from either parites. In addition to O2, IMat, Qtek, AudioVox, SPrint and Verizon .... there is DOpod in malaysia as well who is HTC customer.

How To Make Cdma Phone Work On Any Provider In India?
petar replied to Manoj Reddy's topic in Technical / OS related
Many people are bored with Gtan phones.... i may be able to pick one used Gtran up for like 500 Rs. Then once i shift from existing handset to RUIM of Gtran.... i can buy any foreign handset which supports RUIM & use it on reliance. would this be as simple as this ?? I think thats what all the non-technical people would be intrested in. Some of our experts please explain this -
whats wrong with samsung ? no new models in CDMA . some of new phones of GSM rocks... but nothing in CDMA.
-
We need O2 XDA type phones. WINDOWS MOBILE 5.0 Rocks & also there is iTunes sfware for same. There are phones with EVDO & WiFi technologies available. Reliance team members... You guys need to read this forum for all the ideas...
-
I agree. Reliance always bulk orders the phone...& then force customers to use it. So unless there warehouses are empty with existing stock we shall not see any new models. So typical of Relaince.
-
ALL comments here are with reference to LG MODELS on Reliance Network in INDIA. We cannot compare with outside world. The quality norms are diffrent in europe & US. SO any damm company who sells phone there, has to take care of all that.
-
THIS PHONE is need of the hour. IN long term these guys should come out with Microsoft based Operating system PDA phone.
-
Comprehensive information HYD LADKA... I wish LG took so much pain in designing the phones with some actually useful feature. & reliance took pains in describing the needs of customers.
