Yo hetal bhai. I dont forsee much of Rconnect usage... but will specifically connect 5 - 10 mins - just to check abt the billing. My main thing abt reliance has always been 0.60 paise per min tariif (previsouly 0.50p) which seamed reasonable when compared to 10p/10kb by GSM operators. IF thats not the case - i see no reason for people having data usage sticking to reliance. Mr Anil ambani -U R striking axe on your own feet. As far as R world tariff is concerned - i have never been fan of R world & dont use it anyway. I m not gonna be affected by it, but 1000% increase in tariff is irrational & i will support move against it. Let me know if i can b of any help

I m still no understanding whats the big fuss.... Cause when we dial this connection from 6700 or 6800 its #777 & its termed as NETCONNECT & not R WORLD. infact Hetal extd Rom for 6700 had 2 dial up connections for diffrent uses. R world happens when u use connecting thru relinance proxy server. All my bills till date incluging the generated 1 july - i have been charged as NETCONNECT charges - as per mins of use.

hathway works in partnership with local service providers so experince differs from place to place, city to city. Even within mumbai - the experinces widely differ. Hathway is as good as local provider can be.

CDMA will be coming in Q1 -09

read it carfefully. it has tied up with all handet vendors.... nokia , htc , motorola, LG, samsung. It may also offer ZTE & other chinese handsets... there are all level of customer so they might keep low end models as well.

No android for CDMA as yet.... but it will be there- thats certain.

Just call a CC n ask for supervisor ... or reuqest for someone higher ups to call U.... take a request number for reference, name of rep who answers call & date/time. that should be a good proof. Also possible fax a copy. Send Emails to INDIATV, aaj tak or whoever u can think of. they want all this masala.

Yups- Mobile alert of transaction does help. Check online statment before physical ones arrive.

Rite. Its cheap. i m not sure anyone here has the procedure to make it wrk in india. try your luck. also moto Q lacks quite some features of 6700/6800. so its cheap. also ADD custom duty & shipping to india costs to ebay,usa prices. 2 - 3% credit card forex charges-(since u made payment in $).

NO worries. 60 days is standard time for visa & mastercard for disputes. Its not you or me... its same for every1. Also since u file a dispute , you are not required to make that payment under dispute. If its in your favour, they will show reversal in statment later on. Most likely it happens withing 20-25 days... even before next statment is generated. so there is no question of interest or penalty of non-payment. ICICI support is good. Even if its not, trust VISA/MASTERCARD disputer norms. Its same accross the globe & issuing bank have to follow the procedure.

@DJ - i meant- BAD esn cannot be operated on that operator. It may/maynot be activated on other operator-- that is at disceation of the netwrok operator. Because i belive sprint/verizon BAD ESN phones are activated on cricket network in usa. However, i m not an expert in matter- the ones who are may kindly throw some more light.

BAD ESN is always link to particular operator who might have blocked ESN on his network.

there is always original ROM to fall back on for warranty issues.

CDMA rocks if you wanna use data services over mobiles..... otherwise for laymen it doesnt make a diffrence.... he just wants cheap call rates, cheap handsets. When Rcom entered telecom... they came with a vision of dhirubhai of mobiles for every1.. Thats why they started targetting the bottom of pyramid... MASSES - who wanted cheap phones- cheap call rates.... Guys who use YES & NO button of the phones.. nothing more. Now they have started concentrating on upper segments as well... it wont take time for them to realize that this is where the money comes in from.... & let them come out with EVDO.... i guess many corporates clients are gonna shift to Rcom for faster internet over EVDO... But rt now... its all IFs & BUTs..... so wait n watch guys..

i think s720 is 16500 & p3000 is 19500. maybe i m worng..
