Speed and connectivity are good, but as of now, there seems to be a small decline in the bandwidth. 2)The R-Connect Kit does not contain any PIN or userID/Password. It merely contains a Datacable and a CD-ROM containing the drivers for the phone and the DIALER. 3)It is not Necessary to buy data-cable from reliance only. 4) yes, you can connect to the internet if u just have the phone and buy the datacable from some other shop. All you need to do is that makea windows dialup connection with the name as "Username" and password as "password" and connect to #777.

it might help in increasing the speed and also reduce burden on the processor, since the modems internal processor will then handle the control signals coming to it ands going away from it, if Hardware is selected. All other modes, will be processed by the CPU.

hey ashoksoft, are u using the r-connect dialer provided by reliance? or are u using ur own dial-up connection?? if ur on ur own dial-up, check and see that 'Server Assigned IP' and 'Tcp/IP' are selected in the configuration.

even 97.233.1.3 is a good one, cauz if u are on r-connect , then this server is the local proxy from reliance. pinging to this server will not cauze u to loose more bandwidth and also will not start a (unintended) DOS attack

freddy, i think that it's possible, cauz from what i know it's prolly possible to Connect palm devices running WIN-CE to the phone.. try this, add a std. 28800 bps modem (driver) and then config it to use the com port associated with the phone. also, u can only access the net by username->(ur ph no.w/o std 0) password-><same> phone no.->#777
