Sorry, dude. but i really hate giving bad news to ppl. so i had a good look at the phone's filesystem. It, to me seems that you cannot ul/dl ringtones to your phone. Maybe it's like the Motorola C something. And those files in the wavelet folder are actually sound files accompanying the video files which you have downloaded. please tell me wheather you are able to d/l ringtones from r-world. if yes , how many.

  12. THE BIGGEST SECRETS ABOUT RELIANCE PHONES

    1) Ringtones CAN Be And HAVE Been Successfully Uploaded Into The RD-2030 And RD-7230 Phones Please Click Here To Read A Tutorial. Please Refer To Tutorial for Uploading Ringtones on LG2030 And BitPim Sync Errors For General Errors/Problems Regarding The Procedure. 2) There Is NO WAY AS YET To Upload Ringtones To The Samsung SCH191, Motorola, Nokia 2280 And RD2020 Because It Is Assumed That These Models Do Not Support Uploading Ringtones. 3) The Inbuilt Sounds/Animations In RD-2030 AND RD-7230 CAN NOT BE CHANGED. Yes That Includes ALL INBUILT TONES Including Ones For Alarm, startup, shutdown, message tone And The Like, Without Special Hardware Made So Especially For Such Purposes. 4) ONLY The Version:REL11 In RD-2030 Supports Field Test Mode. No Other Version Supports This Including Versions REL08 And REL15 5) Theres Is No Way To Play/download/upload Videos/songs Into The Phone From The PC Or Vice-Versa Including Those Files Downloaded From R-WORLD Alteast Not Yet, Unless We Can Gat A Copy Of The EVRC Codec. 6) There Is NO Way As Yet To Send SMS From The PC To Reliance Network By Connecting A Phone To The Computer This Is Especially Applicable To AT Commands. Although It Can Be Done By Certain Software Such As Yakoon Messenger Which Have Their Own Service Providers. 7) There Is No Way(known As Yet) To Upload Games To The Phones 8) BitPim Will NEVER Detect The Phone In The First Try. For BitPim To Successfully Read The Filesystem Of The Phone The Filesystem Has To Be Checked Two Times In A Succession Without Restarting The Phone.(explicitly, No Use Trying) 9) BitPim's Inbuilt User Interface Cannot Upload/download Ringtones And Wallpapers From/to The Phone. It HAS To Be Done From The Filesystem. 10) ONLY The 7230 Supports Voice Ringtones No Other Phone Has Capacity To Playback Voice Ringtones. If You Have Any Problems With USB And Windows XP Regarding Uploading And Downloading Stuff From/To Your Phone Please Check Out USB Not recognised / USB-Serial Converter
  13. Bitpim Sync Errors

I don't think reboot will create a problem. The ROM will still boot the phone. I mean if the ROM is programmed such that even default ringtones are stored in it, the boot system definitely would be stored in the ROM. The phone will still boot and be active though if the system files are lost the phone might not function and hence u might not be able to receive or make calls or the menu options might be lost (data or whatever). So....u can upload the root backup created using BitPim.... Just a wild guess..... guess... what i had stated was hard fact... the phone does not boot up if u remove some files... if you dont believe me then try deleting the $SYS and LG.CFG files and then boot up the phone.. see if it boots up... and be 100% ready to rush to the RWW/LG centre to get you'r phone re-flashed. and be sure to carry out this experiment and then post you'r results here and see wheather they match my results..
  14. Brew Development

this SDK doesnot work on Windows 98!! damn!
  15. Software For Ringtones & Wallpapers

Well, if all u want is a shell then, what's the use of my program.. just use winamp!!hah.. BORED please explain a bit better, i could not understand exactly what you want to say, all i could gather is that the ringtone title should be the same as the filename.. and for well, i tried it many times but never have the instruments been deleted. I know that ready made tones cannot be modified by my s/w cauz it's not written to do so... and i was not talking about ready made ringotnes.. i was talking about MIDI Files which have a RIFF (Resource Interchange File Format) header. yeah, pretender, i'll surely check it out .. but i dont think that it's because of that sig. because the signature is only 3 Bytes that too the trailing. and 3 trailing bytes make no difference unless the file in question is a 1C file. but BORED's File is actually a 7C file. whew..
  16. Bitpim Sync Errors

try this... restart you'r phone. connect it to the PC and run BitPim expand the filesystem (2 times) and it should be there. if it's not, then please post the entire log from Bitpim Here.
  17. Software For Ringtones & Wallpapers

This post is going to be HUGE ..so please have the patience to read it enitrely... but do read it entirely... now, i'll post what exactly my ringtone software does. 1) show user interface. 2) get the filename (input) 3) check if the input file is a MIDI file, by examining the header (look for 'MThd' which is the MIDI descriptor..as per standards of MIDI format) 4) get the title for the ringtone from the user 5) create a header for the output file (by checking the length of the input file and combining the title given by the user) 6) get output filename from user 7) open the output file write the header created in step 5 8) open the input file and read all the data into a buffer 9) close the input file 10) check the size of the input file 11) if the input file is larger than 4KB ask wheather to trim the file to 4KB a)YES: copy the first 4KB of data from the buffer stored in Step8 into another buffer.....goto step 12 b)NO: copy entire contents of the buffer created in step 8 into a another buffer. ... goto step 12 12)write the contents of the buffer from step 11 into the output file. 13)close output file and show success message if no errors were encountered. 14) flush all buffers. now what we can see from the above algorythm is that the program does not in any way alter the instruments of the original midi(input file) nor does it look into how long the file will play. all it checks is wheather the file is 4KB so that the phone will accept it. so there's no way that the output file can sound different from the input file. there's a possibility that programs such as Winamp/PsmPlayer may not recognise the header of the output file correctly since they are not trained to read 'Reliance Ringtone' format. there's only one BUG in the program that it cannot handle MIDI files which have a RIFF (Resource Interchange File Format) header. (which is very very uncommon) So it might be possible that the midi file you have has a RIFF header. in that case just look for another midi file of the same song.. and Thanks very very much for all those requests BORED well, as for 1. Can u make mid. DEFAULT not DAT ?? if it's what the majority wants i'll change it.. or rather i'll add check box ->'Output To MIDI Extension' for 2. Can u offer batch conversion? Oh yes sure.. that's a gr8 idea.. just convert all the midis using PsmPlayer to midi and put them in one directory and use my program to convert them to ringotnes all atonce... hmmm really gr8. but any suggestions about what to do with the Title For each file?? (maybe i'll give it a number...like Tune 01.. Tune 02... etc) Look out for the next version ... and for 3. Can u offer "do u want play tone now" instead of ringtone done succesful? hmmm... this one's a bit doubtful, i'll try but cant say anything for sure. (im not going to write Winamp by myself that's for sure ) but i'll see what i can do. hope that's enuf... and thanks for having the patience for reading such a huge post.. (PS:- I've got my AIEEE exams on the 20th of this month so..... no development until 21 atleast.. sorry..)
  18. Brew Development

well, lemme add that i6networks do not accept u/l in zip format so either better make an executable Rar/Zip archieve if u do not have the SDK in original format..
  19. here you go BORED.. hope it's gud enuf to make a ringtone... 2 versions 1) Pink Panther (converted to midi ) w/ trumpets 2) Pink Panther (converted to midi ) w/ Piano pinkPanther.zip

  24. How About Tweaking LG 2130 ?

Ok .. ok i admit that i was being lazy.. but hey, everyone needs a berak from time to time.. ok then.. let's get this done.. i want you to post something like this -> (it's a screenshot of my phone's filesystem with all the main tabs expanded.) Filesystem (188kb)
  25. Handsfree On Lg2030

what im saying might be irrelevant but might just be possible like something metallic might have gone into the headphone socket... which is cauzing the phone to go into the handsfree mode..
