well, ashok as you say, it most probably will work. you'll have to make a connector with one end which can plug in into the phone's headset jack and the other end can go into the sound card's mic/line in jack and you are ready to record!! i cant really say how you can handle the call cauz i've never used a headset.

yeah greens u are absolutely right. but 2030 is not 7130 7130 does support midi formats but it also supports ringtones in the ringtones which have a format named QCELP... a codec which is propritery of qualcomm. this feature is unavailable in 2030 since it supports only MIDI . and midi files cannot have vocals.

well, myself i havent *ever* got anything over 7.5KB/sec even using Download Accelerator Plus ..even at 2 A.M....

It's Kilo bytes...i got around 10- 12 kilobytes with a 2280.. WBR Surej how is that possible?? 10 kilo bytes/sec= 600kilo bytes/min. i.e 1.2 MB File takes only 2 mins ... 12 kilo bytes/sec= 720 kilobytes/min i.e. 1.44 MB file takes only 2 mins impossible... or is it?

via general modems we need one to be the acceptor and the other to be a dialer.. the dialer dials n the acceptor accepts the connection. then the pc's form a 1-1 connection and data access can take place on both connections.. it's not *necessary* to have separate software cauz windows networking can manage most things...

that kind of connection using direct dial from reliance phone to reliance phone is currently not possible since reliance does not allow data calls over their network. but it is possible to make a direct connection over the internet(which may not be the solution,but i felt it necessary to mention)

well, it's only a 3C Midi.. 3-channel midi i.e. i has data for only 3 instruments so even in 4kb size it holds audio data for 1 min...

well, two antenna's really make a difference. and if the nokia 2280 really has two antenna's then it *will* have better signal reception...expecially with the external antenna pulled out.

hmmm... well, that ruins the entire thing of mobile... basically those addon sticker like signal boosters that are available in the market ..just do not work. i earlier had a nokia 3310 with a bsnl conn. it' hardly got on to the network.. *ever* so i went ahead and got myself one of those signal boosters for rs.75. ...stuck it to the back of my phone ... no improvement.... so basically they do not work. as for you'r firend's experiment, even if u dont remove the rubber white *thingy* and coil the phone or it's antinnae with some wire and maybe join it to you'r balcony grill ...u'll see quite an improvement in the signal strength. and as for nokia... hmmm. their error-correction and 1st stage amplification circuits are *really* unbeatable. (and generally CDMA signals have better error correction possibility)

It Surely Is Not A Bug. It's A Space Saving Feature... Remember That Te Phone Only Has 1 MB For Such Storage Including The PhoneBook. So It Cant Store All Those Moreover In The Call Hisstory Menu There Are Only 30 Entries..

Field Test Mode, is a mode in which the phone allows some internal settings to be changed. settings such as the signal optimization, cache storage, data transmission and reception statistics etc. field test modes are generally uesd whenerver operators are setting up networks in some new place , so as to understand the perfomance of the phone under the conditions of background radio interfearance etc etc etc...
