yes, thats because all these phones are entirely/partly custom made for Reliance. It's the same problem with all the other phones, be it nokia, Lg or Samsung. All the Phones' Sync Software Do not Work.

well, currently you cannot do that, because reliance does not as yet support data calls to anything other than #777.

Actually Dudes, When We Use The Internet On A Normal Windows PC, We Use A Protocol Called PPP (Point To Point Protocol). And If You Notice #777=PPP Such Kinds Of Calls Are Actually What They Call OverTheAir Calls.. ie. There Is A Low Priority Data Exchange With The Server As Well As The Phone Without Making Calls. Only When Actual Voluminous Data Exchange Is Required, The Server Or The Client Initiates A Call. And The Number Such As #777 Is Just An Over The Air Number... Not A Server Number In Itself. Like For Bsnl 172226 it's not like that. For Example If You Pass ATDT #777 You *WILL* Get A Response *Connected* But There Will Be No Call As Such.

well, if you are using bitpim 7 beta, try refreshing the filesytem after it says that device needs attention or throws an excaption. it always works for me.

well, yes CRC *has* to do with filesize but it's not the way you stated it in your previous post. crc is cyclic redudancy check and is looks up the checksum and generates a number considering the filesize. so if all the bytes of a file match then the checksum matches.. and all the bytes match if and only if the programs are *SAME* and no i know only a little bit of java so i cant plunge deep into j2me(Java 2 Micro Edition)

well dude, i dont own a nokia 2280 so i really cant comment on this issue but i think that it's possible to hookup nokia 2280 with a PC using DKU-5 cable and using nokia pc sync software. please correct me if im wrong..

well, whats the size got to do with crc... in some cases it might return true and in some it might not. have you ever written a crc generation alogrythm?? if u have u'll know what im saying... and yeah we *may* be able to override crc .... if we have the courage to write our own games.... using j2me...

I dont know weather It's Supported By IBP .... but I Tried a Java Script Once And Got Stuck With It Chirag Had To Help Me To Get Rid Of It. Caus Client Side Scripting Wont Cost Any Extra Procesing Power To Your Server... And I've Seen It At Other Forums...

i'll check and see what i can do... but at$qcdmg is used to bring the phone into BREW mode.. and here u say that it turns ur phone off... so there must be another command for bringing it into BREW mode...

i would recommend to do something about the search function. cauz once i tried searching for 'crc' and then search would not give anything. then tried to search for "server" +"crc" again nothing.... bugged me up...

Well,mr. pretender as u say that you think that the chopper game can be replaced.... i think otherwise. it's because the chopper game resides in the phone's rom and not in the Flash Memory. just as the other 19 ringtones. its it's not possible to replace it. but yes the ones we download *may* be replaced. if we can find someway to override the crc check.

well i tried this but it didnt work for me.. the phone just showed (Secret) and the there was a response '.....please check your number.......' may be because i already had a (Secret) number or may be some software version difference... so i think it was most probably a software bug... which got ...umm...SQUASHED ... maybe?

well dude by the way you say it, it seems that you want to setup a wi fi network whose internet provider is the reliance phone. if so, it'll be really easy.. just set up a common wi fi network and have a phone connected to the main server of the network and give the wi fi network an access to the internet resources.

wow quite a topic we have going on here... here's what i know about this stuff... as per my *past* research(fidgiting) Once We Click On the link in r-world the phone sends a request to main server with the requestID. the server then sends back 2 files - xyz.jar (Java Archive) and xyz.jad now xyz.jad holds the header info for the .jar file and how to execute it. and xyz.jar holds the entire data be it sound or image or text or program itself in a RAR compressed format. the files are downloaded into the phone and then the *contentinfo* (cant rem the exact name) file is updated with the new data and a specific number associated with the java program. then when when one clicks on the link for the *second* time the phone sends the CRC or the Size Of the midlet (Java Program) to the server along with the requestid. this helps in getting to know weater the program has an updated version or has gone corrupt and thus it also acts as a security system. *** i may be aboslutely wrong... all what im saying is just by what i have seen and experimented. thats all... keep trying ******
