i believe that all land lines , if they need to survive must be like the telephones in the US and UK where they have a fixed monthly charge of like 25$ , no matter how many calls you make. Only something like that would make BSNL attractive in todays market in india.

Ocx 0000135 Error In Running A Prog
StaticElectricity replied to drali's topic in General Technical Discussion
an active X component is missing. if it shows the name of the file it cant load then just download it from the net, or else. theres no other way. -
sorry buddy, you cant do that. as i told you before , JPEG IS A LOSSY COMPRESSION. that means that the exact RGB values will never be preserved unless you save it in a NON-LOSSY compression format such as RAW BMP. and if you do save it in BMP format the size is gonna blow up. as a suggestion i might like to add is that you could actually write your own progressive compression alogrythm, is quite simple, but then the other problem would be that no other image viewer would be able to open your bitmap. for a progressive set encoding (compression) what you could do is ... store repeated RGB value sets into a single counted RGB set for each number of same pixel stored on the same line. if your image has a high redundancy you'd get a very good compression. if you want better compression, go in for a huffman. lookup google for more info on huffman, im not going into the details.

set bits for optimized as wells as progressive JPEG encoding with upto 30% or more compression, that should do the trick.

well, buddy JPEG files are lossy compression format, so the jpeg pictures are actually COMPRESSED files. If u convert a jpeg file to an UMCOMPRESSED Bitmap file, it is going to increase in size, plain and simple. Save it in JPEG format.

Simple Technical Questions
StaticElectricity replied to ani_meher's topic in General Technical Discussion
oh god, i mean come on...!!! how do u suppose that something can generate its own power ? its not possible, how can it have its own powersource... who the hell then needs MSEB or some crap like that.. we could all just s uck power for our homes from those speakers.. isnt it ? -
one that i know of is Keil C compiler for uP's and the like, dunno the exact dollar value, but to the tune of 10-15 k dollars. but i really dont think that at rimweb we need topics like these... which is the most expensive software is what we see today... tomorrow, maybe we'll see something like... which is the best underwear ? i really dont think so.. i could've closed the thread altogether , but i guess you all should judge for yourselves.

Simple Technical Questions
StaticElectricity replied to ani_meher's topic in General Technical Discussion
hmm, Power (watts) = V(voltage)(volts) x I (current)(amperes) Power(watts)=I^2xR (Resistance) Power=V^2/R so, we see that power is related to resistance. now, for the speakers to have 1000w (PMPO) it should have approximately 95 watts RMS rating. 95 watts means something like 95=10 volts x 9.5 amperes , but 9.5 amperes is dangerous since it can easily kill. Hence a balance has to made between voltage and current. Now the walkman has say like 4 pencil cells 4 pencil cells = 4x(1.5volts)=6 volts and each cell rated at 3mAh ie. it can supply 3 milli (x10^-3) ampere of current for 1 hour. Hence to get 95 watts rms at 6 volts, 95/6=15.833 AMPERES!!! which is not possible for the batteries to supply. Thats all there is , basically its just the principle of Conservation of Energy. Electrical Energy converted to Sound Energy. MORE Sound Energy = MORE Electrical Energy. use an amplifier -
yup, thats right, and remember, we DO give WARNINGS for SHOUTING!! so watch those caps.

StaticElectricity replied to abhay's topic in General Technical Discussion
ooh boy, i really didnt get what you ppl are trying to do, but as far as i can say, set up a dummy page at the MTNL IP,use some scripting such that the dummy page finds out the SIFY Public ip, and redirects all the hits to your SIFY ip. I guess thats all you can do. -
wow, annish and shiva... you guys totally rock! awesome artwork!
