Its working now just got it authenticated and working. There are lot of options available once registered. By the way i was able to authenticate it over WiFi .

There are 3 options: Flight: You can catch a Bangalore to Mangalore flight and then take a taxi from there to Udupi. Mangalore is about 60km approx 90min from Udupi. Road: You can take a bus from Bang. There are over 30-40 buses between the 2 places. Most of them run in the night and take about 8hrs. You can book a bus through KSRTC http://ksrtc.in ( Best is the Airaavat buses , which are volvo buses). You can also take one of the numerous private buses. KSRTC are the cleanest and the most efficient of the lot. Easiest is to take a AC volvo bus from the airport to the Kempe Gowda bus stand and then from there the bus to Udupi. Train: There is a train every day to Mangalore but its always booked and most people prefer to travel by road or fly.

. I can see the apps in USD in my Hero through my home airtel connection but my wife's Galaxy is showing the same apps in Rupees through the same connection!!!!!!!

Just long press on the number u want to be made default and you will get the option. I also had the problem that email id were being added to the group i normaly forward, but this was because of facebook. 2.1 has a habit of picking up details from the personsffacebook account and making it default specially for sms. I got around it by making a 2nd id for each person in the list and not linking that id to facebook. But still looking for a better solution.

U can run the .5 RUU on it and then root. Just follow the instructions on the post below and u are done. Yup 2.1 is definitely better after you get it tweaked correctly. Now why dont you root your phone and get rid of those sprint apps , it does make the phone faster. U can use also use apps like Wireless thether which require root.

Its the end of the road for the Hero now , Sprint has tweeted no 2.2 for the hero or moment. Rage of thunder runs quite well with no obvious lag or jerkiness, i have played it quite a bit and it pretty good. Definitely much better then ROT1. Secondly unless we see it running on a faster machine guess we wont notice!!! Suppose we do get a call from Reliance to confirm out handset details etc. what should we tell them, about our original handset or just act like a dumb user who has no information. @mufaddal As these calls\sms seem to be becoming more frequent it would be really helpful if u can post a standard reply which all of us can use so as not to compromise the future use of these handsets on the reliance network.

Just rooted my phone and de 'Sprinted' my hero hoping to to make it sprint faster Removed the Tv, navigation nfl nascar etc . U can get them off google just search for 'game name apk' and you will most probably hit a download link, Or check out torrent sites I have some games with me but i dont know whether we are allowed to post them as a direct download or not.( The forum is hosted in the US and should not get into some piracy issues thats why asking)

Those graphics look amazing. Tried playing Hawx on my poor hero all it showed was a blank screen, but the audio sounded nice he he . Raging thunder 1 plays well on hero will try 3 tonight as it looks awesome.

To all those who have updated to 2.1 I am facing lot of lag issues, my screen sometimes just frezees up and then starts after a few seconds. Even those floating clouds which should disappear as soon as u touch the screen sometimes keep floating even after selecting the programs screen then sort of hang up for a bit and disappear. But the most irritating lag is when typing a message the key board just seems to hang up and then pick up all wrong key strokes. This is happening nearly everytime i want to type a message never used to happen so much with 1.5. Also the voicemail error message keeps popping up on the lower end of the screen saying "that there was a delay in setting up your voice mail and ur mail will be sent later", this further hangs up things, any way of stopping this. I have tried multiple soft resets but guess not helping tempted to do a hard reset. Are others facing similar issues??? @dkaile ji: If we do a factory reset ( HOME, END CALL/POWER, and BACK buttons), will the phone require complete reprogramming or just the qpst part.

Interesting observation If we use the username sam1 under ppp um tab, mobile internet works but on trying to access the r world home page one keeps getting access denied error. But if we use UTS@relianceinfo.com we can use the net and access the home page.
