    At the time of provisioning the service, they make the customer sign on agreement which enable them to snap the agreement, stop the service at any day under a position when 'they are unable to cater any more'. So, legal action cannot help.
  2. Last week, finally I surrendered my old connection of BSNL EvDO. It used to give me truly unlimited data for a monthly rent of ₹250+ service tax. There was a time when I used to use monthly data of around 80-100GB. Recently, it was getting really hard to get even a steady connection.
  3. At last Tata Indicom could come out of the jinx of not having any internet pack for such a long time, after years. Earlier there was an offer of Rs. 75/ month for unlimited wap on handset (specially bundled with SAMSUNG Explore model launched in September 2007). Later the plan was withdrawn and the subscribers were left with no options but to go for steep internet charge of 1p/1kb. Now, different prepaid and post-paid plans have been introduced as shown below. These rates are quite competitive compared to the prevailing rates of other operators like AirTel, Vodafone, Aircel, Uninor, !dea, Reliance, BSNL or even Tata DoCoMo vis-à-vis their speed. I have activated a post-paid monthly pack and enjoying it. The speed and stability of connection are quite decent. For MTS, the validity format for all the voice/ data/sms/vas packages is 'the validity date they mention minus one day' This is for cheating on innumerable customers who lose balance in the process. The suffering is the most when the validity for data package ends subtly and the consumer goes on using data, in the process loses huge amount from main balance. Drag them to consumer court.

  20. Yes, for a pan-India service, it must be inter, not intra circle. If one nation service is introduced, it will be all local calls, otherwise, there will be necessity of STD dialling or requirement of adding +91.

Today, after 7 long years of my use of Tata's postpaid CDMA, suddenly I received a short but a very rejecting message telling, "Hi, to enjoy continued services on your number, please migrate your number to Tata DoCoMo prepay or you could opt for Port out to another operator". I called CC and got confirmed about this (it will not be there post 17th June) and also received calls from Tata subsequently depicting the matter. This is really an unexpected move and my primary number will become useless as Tata doesn't offer cheap on-net calls on prepaid any more. If prepaid service remains there, what makes them to cease a smooth-running postpaid service?
