  1. I was a bit busy and could not find time to ship the TPU skin to Vishal last few days. Yesterday I shipped it via speed post. Have asked Vishal to recharge my ported in MTS number with an amount of Rs. 25 (the speed post expenditure)
  2. ^ Pertinent question in deed. Is there serious endeavour on the part of RCDMA to introduce lucrative internet on mobile a la MTS?
  3. But I've overall quite a good experience with tradus.com They initiated the shipping withing 2-3 days and I received the consignments within a week time.
  4. ^ @Kanaga, I had a talk with MTS official of their eastern regional office. He assured me of all-out aggressive bidding plan in case their petition fails in the apex court. He also apprised that their policy makers are having the plan of pan-India launching of lucrative data packs for mobile in near future.
  5. Dear Parin, please try on MTS activation. There is a prospective buyer base for the marvels.
  6. Wow Sadikk bhai, what about MTS activation? You are the only one who does it for MTS in our forum.
  7. Please Suggest OMH EVDO Handset Within Rs.5-7 K

Go for MTS MTag handset priced @ Rs. 5499. It is an OMH set with all the features sought by you plus wi-fi hotspot capability, having capacitive touch screen also.
  8. MTS has been aggressive in marketing all through. But this is beyond my expectation what MTS is offering against all aftermath of apex court's verdict.
  9. Motorola Photon - SMS Received Many Times

^ I also faced similar issue before with BSNL subscribers.
  10. Amazon Enters India With Junglee.com

I was delighted. But when I tried to buy Belkin velcro strips (@ Rs. 196) from junglee.com, it appeared to be a part of Amazon Global Program and thus the Rs. price shown on this site is an estimated price. The actual price charged will include applicable shipping (it is not free as the amount is small), and other duties. So, I bought similar item from ebay @ Rs. 199
  11. @Vishal, your PM box is full. Anyways, give your address, I'll send it to you over speed post. You will pay the postage or recharge my mobile, okay?
  12. Discounts & Deals For Non Electronics/Gadget Stuff

@ Mukesh, thanks @ Nitin, the coupon (MyValentine) is valid only for a minimum amount of Rs 480. How many deodorants would I buy? So, I gave up.
  13. sulekha.com is selling Samsung Galaxy Y @ Rs. 6709 I just bought one for my friend.
  14. @ Saurabh, I'm not sure about that. Check and tell me. If it doesn't fit your epic 4G, Vishal should get it.
  15. My friend from sent me a TPU back cover of Samsung Galaxy SII (he forgot that I'm using Fascinate). He sent it to me by mistake. It is of no use to me. It is of mauve colour. Anyone wants this? Let me know.
  16. Clearance sale of letsbuy is now offering for the last day a discount of 10% (coupon code LBSALE10) with a maximum discount of Rs. 2500. This applies to the clearance sale products only.
  17. ^ Dear Saket, my experience says calls from numbers starting with 0140 override DND. So, DND will not come to your help. Selective blocking is the solution. Dear Thilakan, you can block these bombarding SMS having all these pre-fixes can effectively be blocked with software. Go for Mr. Number (market link given) and block them. Blocking criterion can be a prefix.
  18. ^ If you are using Android phone, block these calls with the application Mr.Number (free in the market). You can block any number starting with 140, or 0140. That's its advantage.
  19. Yesterday the porting of my secondary number (9434353637 of BSNL) to MTS was completed successfully. It was a smooth procedure. Everything took place without any problem. A couple of days back I was called by an executive of BSNL from Kolkata who was trying to convice me to stay back with them. Reasons for Porting - Better tariff, better call quality (BSNL signal is omnipresent but the call quality is dismal), and of course the cheapest EVDO. MTS gives full talk-time on a good number of recharges; SMS packs are attractive; Calling to Bangladesh is much cheaper with 3 different vouchers, so more flexibility. Benefits that I see of the new service provider - 1. Full talk time recharges. Main balance plus pool balance to be exhausted in a month. 2. 1p/2sec local calls for a year with Rs. 95 recharge (with the MNP, this came as a free gift for the first year) 3. Best EVDO rates: 2GB for Rs. 97 and 6GB for Rs. 147. I'm using it for skype video calls, live TV, streaming radio, g-talk, Nimbuzz VOIP calls etc. Porting Experience - 1. Generated UPC on 19th Jan 2012 2. Went to MTS franchisee on 19th and submitted documents, filled forms for MNP. 3. Received the message on 25th Jan that my number would be ported out at 00:00 hrs of 26th, i.e. today's midnight to MTS. Two hours before that my number would be inactive. 4. All happened smoothly. 4. 26th Jan in the morning, I received the welcome SMS from MTS. 5. After recharge of Rs. 105 I got Rs. 20 main balance and Rs. 95 pool balance (for 30 days), along with 1p/2sec tariff activation. 6. I sent SMS to 51230 for High Speed Data activation and received back the confirmation. Checked and found that the EVDO is working flawlessly. 7. Sent SMS to all of my friends in my contact list who uses BSNL connection and used to call me @10p/min (on-net call of BSNL). Enjoying this on Incredible 2.
  20. I changed my rental plan (Tata DoCoMo CDMA) twice while roaming last month through calling to 121 (CC). There was no problem at all.
  21. Get Name Of Idea Mobile User

^ True Kamal bhai. But sometimes we need info about subscribers which we don't get. There could be better & stringent law for not disturbing subscribers. However, there are software to block unwanted calls and messages. I use Mr. Number. This type of software allow 'White List' by means of which the phone rings only when calls are received from pre-selected list of numbers.
  22. Get Name Of Idea Mobile User

Why Kamal bahi? I rather second Ani Meher on this issue. Think about the situation, while a person is using a landline his number provides his name and address on the directory, while on the other hand the same person's name becomes secret if he is a mobile phone user. Why? When all the operators are mandatorily collecting the details of mobile subscribers and their photo, there should be digital directory on this. TRAI can go for a website providing details of the subscriber, address and photo. What's the harm?
