  1. ^ No need to activate this. Incredible 2 behaves like an OMH for CDMA, that's its beauty. This holds good for the handsets sold on this forum.
  2. ^ MNP is very much possible. If you are talking about the EVDO handset for MTS, they are offering two entry level android EVDO handsets with bundled data packs. Those are priced at Rs. 4999 and Rs. 5499 on which these EVDO packs will work. But for dual camers, average handsets will not do. You need to go for higher priced one.

    Saptarshi, I'm using Samsung W139 Duos. I think it will meet your purpose (dual active). It's quite cheap with good battery.
  5. ^ It's for EVDO on mobile. Rs. 97.99 for 2GB was the best among all mobile 3G data plans , now Rs. 147 for 6GB is even better.
  6. Is it so? I tried hard to get a retailer around CST in Mumbai who does recharge for MTS. There was none! Every retailer asked me to switch over to other operator. The situation was a bit better, albeit not good, in Navi Mumbai for MTS. Then how come the Mumbaikars giving huge profits to MTS, so that they don't come out with data plans for mobiles?

I read an article on India Today on 50th anniversary of our independence that considering the speed of our judiciary, it will take another 350 years to dispose the pending cases of the apex court and the High courts if no new cases are not lodged!

  10. Tanveer ji, one can use a portable wifi router with usb data dongle. I'm using Olive portable router with MTS and BSNL EVDO. I'm writing this post on Samsung Galaxy Tab over wifi using MTS. Reliance has also come up with ' My Best Plan' for NetConnect+.
  11. ^^^ Yes, I'm now using it on roaming. I was getting good speed in Mumbai, now also getting fantastic speed in Aurangabad area (came here for Ajanta, Ellora, Daulatabad, Paithani etc).

  14. ^ Yes, I also noted this on the specs page. This phone will be helpful for those who will want to use CDMA as the primary number. Just like Motorola XT 800 has GSM 3G but has only 1X.
  15. Starting to choose a good number after a week's time is quite a long delay (considering BSNL is offering it for free). There is no good number left I suppose. I tried a day after it was launched, there was almost none. It was my experience in West Bengal circle. Anybody can try it in other circles.
  16. It is up there for quite some time now and all the good numbers have been exhausted. Also, BSNL did not include the vanity numbers into this offer as mentioned by Aalok above. Anyways, BSNL has succeeded to sell out a few lakh numbers already through this scheme after its launch. In AP circle itself, where it was first introduced, about 1.5 lakh numbers have been sold.

  19. I wanted to point out at the OMH feature of DINC2 what is making it hot favourite. If SGII Duos comes with OMH for CDMA, that will be hit, there is no doubt. Looking at the features, I know that the phones differ technically and functionally. And there are many persons to belch out more than 33K in our poor country, handset makers know it

    ^^^ In most cases, they set the password as "password". It is the default practice. Try with it. Also check the phone number, it should start with a '2', it's BSNL's nationwide paradigm.
  25. Undoubtedly MTS is the best here in West Bengal, offering 2GB EVDO on mobile for Rs. 97.99 with 30 days' validity. This can be tethered also. Apart from this I use Rs. 250 postpaid EVDO from BSNL which is truely unlimited. But this offer was an introductory one.
