The grouse with ChoRCom is more due to the manner in which they left their patrons in the lurch by suddenly Announcing closure of CDMA (of course few Rimwebians were privy to that news as well) & not just that, they shamelessly tried clearing off their entire stock by introducing KILLER MNP mobile plans just few months before closure. Wasn't this already discussed in the boardroom several quarters ago? Hence, ChoRCom.. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

Number can still be cancelled even if there's a dispute, to avoid further billing. If customer care doesn't agree then it gets auto suspended (bill stoppage) & later terminated after 3-4 weeks Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

They've started giving connections in parts of Mumbai already. My friend has applied. Awaiting update Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

Info on Jio Preferred / Premium numbers?
ACS replied to cooljatt18's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
Just take a premium no from the cheapest available circle/Operator & port later to Jio. (we can port, right?) Reliance GSM has the cheapest lot! Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk -
Well, it may turn out to be a minor headache in explaining this to the lok adalat.. but you have a strong case if you don't pay the bill & they end up serving you a legal notice.. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

This plan doesn't seem to be Unlimited 3GB (Throttling after quota). They've clearly mentioned extra charges under non-discounted usage. Check the welcome mail you got post tariff change. Btw, who changed your tariff? Did they do it forcefully? Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

^^^^ Great news! This will help make ChoRcoms network go from 'Horrible' to just 'Bad'.. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

^^^ Agree with all points except the last one. Forget compensation for equipment, ChoRCom was blatantly offering unbeatable CDMA local/std MNP plans just months before announcing closure! Today one can easily understand their intention was to offload the balance stock lying with distributors, stores & Shop.RCom No wonder, few months before closure, even the busiest of sellers were in hyperactive mode towards clearing balance stock.. Well tipped-off internally! So the worst affected actually were, CDMA handset importers/resellers, RGE Sim blackmarketeers & few ppl like me, using UL Mifi Internet @ 600 bucks. So Basically, forum members were the worst hit. Now Anil Bhai cannot see others making more money of his CDMA services, than his own company, can he? He had to do this.. On one hand you say MNP wasn't an option cause the CDMA handset would've been rendered useless. So what better have we achieved by 'upgrading' to ChoRCom 4G? In which way are the CDMA smartphones at any advantage on ChoRCom 4G network? One has to migrate to GSM, sooner or later. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

^^^ I'm sorry, an optional upgrade doesn't become forced by any means & users could've exercised their right to migrate especially when nobody knew anything about the new ChorG-network. But yes, CDMA users did feel that Reliance dumped them & it was a pretty messy upgrade. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

^^^^ Ok, so 'Forced conversion' was the correct description & not user ignorance/stupidity.. And no, I have no faith in ChoRCom. Just playing devil's advocate here Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

In today's time, it's wrong to wholly blame RCom for a 'forced conversion' when things like MNP were in place in voice category. As far as Data cards are concerned, I guess they continued the same plan while upgrading their postpaid CDMA Data card user base to 4G, as per their promise, correct? And by now, users also know that only postpaid plans remain 'somewhat' constant whereas prepaid is subject to change every month. Yes of course, even the 4G data card upgrade process was non-transparent & new postpaid plans were revealed only when the actual upgrade took place. So the smart ones migrated their old CDMA data card plans to something like 5GBDay5GBNight@599 just before upgrade, to enjoy the same plan after upgrade. Whereas, the non-suspecting users with low data plans & high 4G speed, started exhausting their data within 10-15 days & are now stuck only with expensive plans to upgrade.. ^^^^ Lol! Crazy! Hope you're from the same circle as the user, who posted originally.. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

Have you upgraded to 4G GSM sim? And is this 397 an old/demo plan? Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
