  1. Postpaid Tariff Plans

Topic to be updated. One cannot have all postpaid plans under a single Topic as suggested. Postpaid plans keep getting updated.
  2. Reliance Gsm Postpaid plans Launched

^^^^ I agree.. The fizz is out. But you can never say.. they maybe waiting for new GSM Competitors to make the first move. 3 new players are entering soon of which Aircel has already entered.. aur bol.
  3. Hi.. Many of us know that Reliance FWTs can be connected to an EPABX as an alternate Landline connection. I was wondering if anybody knew about attaching SIM/RUIM cards to Digital EPABXs. I heard that one needs to procure some Gateway slots (1-4 or 4-32). So: 1) Is this possible? 2) Is this 'gateway' to be procured from a PBX vendor OR the Telecom service provider along with Mobile connections?
  4. ^^^ Oh no.. if something like this is really possible, who would want to ignore Tariffs of TATA/Rel and go for GSM. Anyways, youre mentioning about a particular Brand producing one.. what about an add-on slot for normal/digital EPABXs ? Those were called FWT - Fixed Wireless Terminal. Yes, it was discontinued for a while but 2nd hand ones were always available. Nowadays, new FWTs (LSP 270 or 280) are also available in Bangalore atleast.
  5. Discount On Blackberry 8830 World Edition?

Thanks for the appreciation. I did pay a premium but not much. I have one more number 9333333333 also. You need to have bodyguards around you.. undesirable ppl will get the wrong impression.
  6. Discount On Blackberry 8830 World Edition?

^^^^ But he 1st needs to confirm whether this is an unlocked BB 8830. @ technofreak#77 Where did u buy it from & which connection was being used previously ?
  7. ^^^^ Copuld u plz mention which para/page needs to be read..
  8. I think the only problem we have is RComm calling its 10GB Data Limit as 'Unlimited'. They have definately made a stupid mistake by trying fool unsuspecting subscribers. .. but now if you see the comparison chart in that website.. its way beyond TATA's EVDO Card. 1) Reliance's REV-A is better than Tata's Rev-O - which only gives 1x speeds (144kbps) during uploads ! (Due to this Video Conf is definately not possible in Tata !) 2) Their coverage however says 35 cities compared to Tata's 3 cities but in phase 1 only 13 citites are RComm EVDO Ready. They are taking it up & im sure even Tata will soon look into it. Probably we were expecting big things from Rel's EVDO but we must keep in mind the above factors while comparing Rel, Tata, Idea & VSNL/BSNL. Check out the FAQ's for a better understanding. 9. Getting launched in Bangalore very soon... Bookings starting on 9th March 09.
  10. Amazingly Website.. better than reliance's own. Short & to the point. Really crap.. Why call it unlimited when its only 10GB They need to be kicked below the belt for fooling the public, who might not look into the miniscule & blurred conditions apply. http://offers.connectindia.in/reliance/tariff.jsp But check out this Network coverage map which can be downloaded - How did they get this? from Rcomm ? http://offers.connectindia.in/reliance/network.jsp
  11. Great Plans.. Just that Rs.3500 might be little steep for the hardware.. or is it reasonable ?
  12. Srilankan Cricket Team Attacked In Pak

Its ridiculous.. Times now was showing news clips of Pak media where they are accusing India for the attacks.. If im not wrong, it was a Geo TV presenter interviewing Hamid Gul (Former ISI Chief) who went on to say - it was India's reply to 26/11 & that Indian Govt. had to keep voters happy during the time of elections.. Which world are they from.. earthlings will certainly not believe this.. not even their countrymen !
  13. Srilankan Cricket Team Attacked In Pak

What a sad day for World Cricket.. Forget being banned just from Intl. cricket.. Pakistan should be banned from the world map for being such a headless country.. their constant state of denial & nature of deceit will take them nowhere.. Spare a thought for their citizens.. they would be feeling so insecure with the current leadership & situation with Taliban in Swat. ---- Coming back to the travelling SL Team, 1/2 players have bullet injuries & others have escaped with minor injuries - as reported by Times now.
  14. LG LXU-800 USB Modem

^^^ Only problem being that after running the CD, 3 more drivers need to be installed manually. Brings back memories of the cursed ZTE MG 880 which involved several steps for driver installation. The best, trouble free DC was Huawei EC 121, atleast for its 'plug n play installation' process. Although problems were reported for EC 121. Only plus point being with LXU-800 till now is that after plugging, it can be tilted up to a 90 degree angle just like an antenna. Hope that it works fine too.
  15. ^^^^ Im surprised by the above post. I though TATA was doing great & only their WiMax services had issues which surprisingly isn't mentioned above.
  16. Yes.. heard the same in Bangalore too. Exact date is not announced though.
  17. Which Headset To Use With Lgrd 3510

Below are few Headset Jack Types: 2.5MM Headset Plug - The most common size for cell phones. Is smaller than what is used for audio headphones. 3.5mm Plug - Used in newer cell phones. This is the same size as used in portable audio devices like iPods and other MP3 players. Micro USB - Used in many newer Motorola/BB phones, this is the same port used for charging or syncing. Use of standard 3.5 mm audio headphones or headsets requires the use of an adapter (usually supplied with the phone). Proprietary - Many manufacturers have their own unique plug type for headsets and audio devices. For Samsung and LG this is often the case, as well as on older Nokias. An adapter that permits plugging in 2.5mm or 3.5mm headsets or headphones is usually available as an additional accessory. According to me, LG RD 3500 series will support any 2.5mm Headset plug..
  18. One clarification here.. Ive heard ppl saying that once MNP comes, not only can you retain your Mob number while changing operators but also while changing your SDCA. Just like China which has no prefix system like 931 / 932 / 933 etc. i.e. Even if someone moves from Mumbai to Bangalore, he can retain his number... I first rubbished it but started hearing from others too.. some newspaper spreading it or what ?
  19. Better to ask him.. He would definately be having associates for After Sales Service. SMS/PM will help..
  20. Lets Ask Arun

^^^ Thanks for the reply Arun. But this preferencial treatment would automatically take away the credibility out of other sellers, as less experienced/Newbies will only trust 'Pinned Sellers'.. irrespective of whether they have the required product or not. Suggestion: 'Trusted Seller' Rating could be earned in an opinion poll by all Buyers/Members. Star Rating can also be an option. (These ratings can be displayed only after 25+ votes to make it more genuine) Then definately, ppl currently projected as 'Trusted Sellers' are actually proved trusted & certified by general Public (Members). In general, Trustworthiness/Goodwill comes to an entity due to customer experience/word of mouth & not by obtaining ISO-9001 certification..
  21. Hi Guys.. Unconfirmed reports here in Bangalore say that calls from CDMA Postpaid FWP to Prepaid GSM are to be treated as Onnet Calls. Anyways, this seems true for now, will only get the final picture after RGSM launch. There were always fears among existing Rcomm users like: 1) What if such calls are not treated as Onnet? 2) Whats the benefit for RComm Customers adding few more RGSM connections, when Onnet/CUG fails with several exisitng connections? Hoping that they will soon extend this to CDMA Mobiles.. & also take care of other such concerns. (Reason for edit - changed Confirmed to 'Unconfirmed' reports)
  22. Lets Ask Arun

^^^ Hoping that Arun solves the issue here.. This is strangely a category where there are maximum pinned topics, compared to any other category. Never have i experienced before, pinned Topics in B/S Forum. They why now? It fills up the screen as soon as we open it..
  23. It is not entirely reliable to go with masses/public perception when it comes to telecom spending habbits. As you know, majority of the ppl are in the lower income bracket.. do they have much choice? So there itself your 75-80% subscription is Prepaid. Many Individuals are rejected for Postpaid by Operators themselves on grounds of 'Addres & Credit Verification'. But here its not just about money.. but also convenience & other necessities why ppl choose PostP over PreP. Like accounting issues, CUG availibilty, R-R Onnet Tariffs etc. these pros/cons are already being discussed in some other Topic. Anyways, where-ever especially i have advocated Postpaid, its mainly with reference to Corporates/mid-high income ppl & their convenience cum sometimes necessity to go for it. i don't think this is the only Forum supporting PostPaid.
  24. Lets Ask Arun

^^^ Without proper reasons, we should have a problem with all 10.
  25. Corporates own the biggest chunk of Postpaid connections. Any currently, they are terminating lines & not subscribing, which explains this weird ratio. As pointed out above, its just a survey on recent new connections. But despite that, the figures are still crazy.
