  1. Pretty good offers by all Service providers! I feel the one reason left, that we all like Reliance Data Cards is because of the All India Coverage, compared to other providers.
  2. Lets Ask Arun

Hi Arun, I have noted that all of a sudden, there are around 10 Topics pinned in the Buy/Sell Forum ! And surprisingly there are certain Topics which have got Pinned without seeing the next sunrise. 1) Firstly, i would like to know the defintion of a 'Pinned' Topic. 2) Under what criteria/circumstances can a Topic enjoy 'Pinned' status? 3) As far as B/S Forum is concerned, can a product really continue to Sell, especially as projected in these cases? I personally feel that under any circumstance, a B/S Forum Topic can rarely enjoy Pinned status. Unless its something like the 'everlasting LG 2030' which is on Sale, that too with the involvement of Multiple Sellers at different periods.
  3. Hey Mukesh.. the winner everywhere is named Pradeep Sahu. You must be dreaming. Or is it that your real name is Pradeep, Mukesh? You can update the same on Rimweb now. Don't listen to him.. he only wants lesser competition so that he can hog the undelivered prizes. Aur Pradeep yaar please, hindi mein type karna kum kar.. its difficult to read. I can finish the days newspaper faster.
  4. Calls From Cdma Fwp To Rgsm

^^^ Interesting mail reply.. Will need to re-confirm this. But the way, the mail was typed out (full of punctuation/grammatical errors) by the nodal officer wasn't very impressive. Are they too a bunch of jokers, just like these CC guys ?
  5. Karnataka, they say is 90% covered.. we are a privileged lot then. In other places where signals are absent, they are installing new towers. Only few states enjoy good GSM services.
  6. This is exactly what i was trying to say but in a polished way. As we can't speculate & mention the true reasons openly . By the way, where is Biplob Singha Shee ?
  7. Rock On 2000

Does TATA's Honest 275 plan really give all Local/STD calls & SMS @ 50p ? Well not much difference for you then.
  8. Maybe some other scheme here in Bangalore.. Else, website info could also be outdated.
  9. Really bizarre requests we get on this forum... better not keep any handset... LOL Infact a very common request from the Business Community.. Maybe his number has been leaked to undesireable ppl calling him for something. Or plain, he may want to avoid incoming calls but its essential for him to retain his number for o/g calls else receivers won't lift unknown numbers. Many ppl even have requests for CLIB - Caller Line Identification Barring. i.e. Do not want ppl to know who has called them. CLIP shows - "Restricted number".
  10. Dear all, Reliance communications has launched the new Huawei EC-121 USB Modem with data, voice & SMS facility. It is a conveniently slim & stylish solution for internet access on the move. This time however, no earphone in the box.. IVR instructions come thru speakers! Features: CDMA 1x RTT 800Mhz Inner Antenna - Outer looks no good as it is Voice Supported Packet Data Service supported Supports Incoming and Outgoing SMS Laptop/PC Speaker & Mic - Can be used for voice calls Windows 2000 (SP4), Windows XP (SP2), Windows Vista32/64bits, MAC OS - Earlier USB's had issues with Vista 64 bits. Size:67.1 mm x 23.2 mm x 10.6 mm - Very nice Direct USB connector for convenient plug into the laptop/PC USB port In built antenna for better coverage - How better coverage ? Slim, Sleek & Stylish - Similar to USB pen drive in size and looks Support for Voice , SMS & Data Plug n Play - Self Installation upon connection - ZTE MG 880 was a pain.
  11. Nearly impossible.. instead you could let us know who's harassing you. Taking care of that would be comparatively easier. (Sorry.. couldn't resist it...)
  12. 20 GB.. hence great plan.
  13. Short Term Share Trading

Lets continue with few more basic points: 11. First of all, medium-long term trading makes more sense. You actually invest in a Company as a shareholder & expect annual dividends/bonuses in return. You also enjoy having a say in the decision making depending on the 'share' you hold. Daily trading is like gambling. 12. There are crores of ppl sitting on stock markets, Bullion, Forex, commodity markets for short gains. Among these group of ppl, many gain on others expense & vice versa. Basically there's no productivity coming out of this exercise. 13. Governments have officially re-named this kind of activity from Speculation to 'Trading'. They try to make some sense & some Transaction Tax out of this overall non-productive exercise. 14. Brokers also take a cut from Buyers/Sellers involved in this activity. They gain anyways, unless wrongly invested themselves. 15. Mututal Funds/FII's are the real giants cum profit makers who play on the basic economic principles of Demand & Supply. They buy heavy, we all follow & buy.. then they sell & we crash. But all this while till 2008 when ppl were making profits - "Samajh mein kuch nahi aata hai, bus behti ganga mein haath dho lete hain.." So when the West went into recession, these guys have pulled out their 'mutual fund' money out of India to help their Principles & we are missing their powerplay as the Sensex tumbles. 16. Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4 results of a Company make lesser contributions to upswing & downswings.. Market speculations & the external environment contribute heavily. What irony! 17. They used to say that the Stock Exchange is the actual Economic/Health indicator of a Country. Thats's why when it grew by 500% from 2004-2008, we just grew by about 9-10% anually. As it recently fell by 50% last year, we therfore project GDP growth at 6-7% ? 18. Many Banks/Institutions/Organisations have gone bankrupt mainly due to exposure towards Stock Market. Bad Debts are smaller issues comparatively. Except Citibank, maybe. 19. News channels running bloomberg have surprisingly grown from 2 to 10. All the so-called experts never discussed the above points. Its heart-burning to see everybody talking about this un-productive activity whole day & make no sense out of it actually. 20. When ppl were making money during the upswing, nobody bothered about Regulation etc. Today they talk about controlled movement. 21. Rahul Bajaj (Bajaj Holdings) is the single largest individual share holder of ICICI Bank (about 20%). He lost 2000 Crore during the dowturn. Now he seems vociferous about the so called 'loss' & demands controlled movement of the market. 22. Ambanis were in the paper for being the Richest in the World sometime recently.. What an embarrassment for the nation now! 'Notional Wealth' was the culprit perhaps. 23. Crude Oil reached $140 a barrel & fell down to $40 due to this.. Gold is no more affordable due to this.. But then why are only essential Commodoties banned from trading? Why not all of these? Sensex itself has fallen flat off late.. when are we going to question the fundamentals of such kind of 'Trading Activity' ? Well, to make myself clear at the end.. ive not tasted sour grapes yet. i.e. till date never invested in Stocks. But always wanted a debate on this.. In fact i was going to start a new Topic on this Forum long back. But short trading seems to be more of a Culprit rather than blaming 'all kinds of Trading' entirely. Lets not have a 'herd mentality'. Its time to think out of the box.

  15. We had few ppl encountering some problems with ADM 100C AnyData Modem which looks similar. Any problems faced with this one yet?
  16. Reliance Gsm Coverage

Guys could this be a problem after RComm guys installed GSM transmitters in the Tower closest to his place? Or maybe plain bad luck?
  17. Well.. 2 observations here: 1) Reliance will surely gain from this internal number portability as ppl are fed up with their defective CDMA handsets. Almost 60% handsets had problems before the LG 3000 series were launched. Now too, many ppl hate CDMA sets as it gets hot, bad battery life etc. 2) What will happen when these 80% customers (laymen don't understand benefits of CDMA) shift to GSM? Will Rcomm not face any sort of problems. Or is it that the exisitng infrastructure takes care of both GSM/CDMA so they are hardly bothered?
  18. Very useful if true.. But i think that *#06# works again with select handsets.. not working with LG RD 2030.
  19. Postpaid Gsm Launch

They talk too much. None of employee know about dates and all. This is managed by Planning Dept., Which is far away from reach of those employees. Same talks here too in Bangalore.. Tentative launch Date - 16th Feb '09 unless something goes wrong. In fact Karnataka is one state whose 90% GSM ready.. almost all towers are GSM ready. New installations happening where there's no coverage.. especially north Karnataka. Since infrastructure is more or less in place, no reason why there should be a delay this time.
  20. Rock On 2000

Ok.. now lets take Platinum Plan 225 & compare the charges with the following packs. All Local calls avg out to 40p considering more Mobile calling.. Add STD 250 Pack to make all STD calls @ 50p Add SMS pack 50 for 1000 National SMS' Then.. what does the rental/min commitment & usage work out to? Not that good... thats the max we can do in RIM postpaid. TATA 2000 truly rocks then..
  21. For bulk SMS in RIM Post paid, even SMS packs are available. i.e. SMS Pack 50 - 2000 RIM-RIM All India SMS Pack 60 - 1000 SMS All India - any phone SMS Pack 25 - 100 All India - Any phone
  22. Dual Cdma(2-cdma Sim) Phone

With that kind of a headache.. you will definately falter while Making Calls/SMS. At the end of it.. there won't be any privacy be it personal/office/friends whatever.
  23. Corporates would love to give such phones to their non-trust worthy junior staff.. When there's no Sreen, no hanky panky.. no Airtel World.. no RWorld usage.. no mis-use with love match/astrology etc..
