Sorry for the late reply buddy.. almost overlooked your post. Its a firmare/software issue.. get it upgraded at any of the the Service centres as its in warranty. This Phone is good only if its ridden of all problems; which is again a remote possibilty !

This Topic should be altered as it seems aimless to a member reading the list.. The 'model name', 'eBay' or 'auction site' could be added.

When is Relaince Gsm expansion launch expected for now?
ACS replied to prathod's topic in Miscellaneous
Guys.. This Sub-Forum seems to be for GSM - Postpaid. Lets have this shifted to Miscellaneous as we are discussing all things in general.. even the Topic suggests it. -
@Honest.. But there seems to be a problem in this argument. Is the existing infrastructure of RComm (i.e. fibre optic cables, towers etc.) capable of supporting both CDMA & GSM Voice/Data Services or was there something new done in GSM roll-out other than tweaking the exisiting Tower? Also that we all have discussed in this Forum that CDMA has a few good things like Data speed, Voice clarity etc. How will Rcomm give the best of both worlds to the Customer if they want all CDMA users to switch to GSM? Or is it that CDMA customers/equipment/maintainence is a pain for them due to various other shortcomings in CDMA ?

Cannot Connect To Reliance Network While On Roaming With Palm Treo 755
ACS replied to vivekmukherji's topic in Other handsets
But as per the initial few posts/replies.. it seems to be a specific Treo 755p problem. Agreed that RComm might have problems in Roaming but their could be various reasons for the same. On the other hand, members here are specifically acknowledging the fact that this handset does have Roaming Issues & are providing solutions specific to it. -

@ Ashok.. You could try a smaller signature.. Lesser Mobile numbers perhaps. Thanks for the info anyways. -
Cannot Connect To Reliance Network While On Roaming With Palm Treo 755
ACS replied to vivekmukherji's topic in Other handsets
Ok ok.. i agree that nobody has the patience to go thru even 10 pages. But this Topic semms to have been altered. Earlier it did not have the Handset name if im not wrong & just "Cannot Connect To Reliance Network While On Roaming ".. thats y the suggestion. Secondly, its not Reliance's problem, its a handset problem.. therefore better if it moves to the specific 'Handset' category. -
Unfortunately nothing better than Nokia 6275 in this range.. although that too comes with avg. battery nowadays. Better not go for Spice C 810 as mentioned all across the Forum. Earlier i too used to reccommend C810 but tooooo many problems & many batches are unreliable.

Sounds like an inbuilt LT Jaadu pack 550. But unlike Prepaid CDMa LT Jaadu - Will these tariffs rates really last? As we all know what constant fluctuations happen in Prepaid.. -
As pointed out earlier by Dkaile, this Topic should be merged with the link provided.. There could be an unnecessary duplication of Q & A in this thread. This post will also help other members with similar probs in that thread.

Cannot Connect To Reliance Network While On Roaming With Palm Treo 755
ACS replied to vivekmukherji's topic in Other handsets
Can this thread be merged with the Existing Treo 755p ? As this Topic is Treo specific, all Treo users will not know about this thread.. in case merged they can have a common problem addressed.. -

So who's the smarter one here? RPG's Goenka or Cellucom's Nagar ? Probably there is something that Cellucom can foresee & RPG cannot.. -
Project - Foreign Esn / Meid Handset In Reliance
ACS replied to HetalDP's topic in Reliance Communications
Hey Guys.. Alls good but has anyone heard about a breakthrough in the same with TATA CDMA ? In case TATA also is rejecting such requests outright, then we can probably be soft on our allegations with RComm. Yes, in case TATA is also able to do it.. then RComm will automatically be under pressure some what. The problem here (by understanding various posts) might be that both wont agree since their systems might not reflect these Foreign ESNs. Then how will they go about doing simple things like: 1) Blocking o/g - We cannot trust a phone stealer with STD/ISD Calls even for a few hours till the number is retained in a new phone. Which means calling *333 in emergency will not work if their systems can't detect or instruct the host/phone! 2) Will *228 & number transfer work on such handsets ? 3) There could be other technical issues as rightly pointed out by various members in the beginning of this Topic. For GSM phones brought from all around the world is never a problem cause operators need to simply instruct their respective SIMs which might not be the case here.. -
Any new network showing in your mobile?
ACS replied to Arun's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
^^^^ Hey prihir. Thanks for the info but plz avoid CAPS. -
Hi Guys, My friend wants to buy the D88n but only if it supports Netconnect with Vista.. The Spice website does show the link to download the same but does it really work ? Also plz mention any other handset in reliance suppoting Netconnect with Vista, so that he need not stick with Spice. Thanks in advance..

Only thing that Nokia 6275 has very avg. battery backup. Half the CDMA batteries nowadays are sub-standard of nokia.
-
1) Not sure about 800/1900 & stuff but i have noticed a Brand new C810 falling behind an old Nokia 6275 in catching signal (in an already weak location) Not sure if it is a manufacturing thing cause even the Service Centres sing the same tune. Possible that now it has been rectified. 2) For Good battery Backup, nothing beats C 810 with 10 hrs backup.. if any problem, the ASC will naturally replace the battery in warranty.

All terrorists are Pakistanis OR all Chinese sets are unreliable.. The above thoughts need to go.. junk the cliche.

Restriction To Erecting Mobile Towers
ACS replied to nkmenon55's topic in General Technical Discussion
@ pasumark Very interesting.. Thanks for sharing this info. Thats what RimWeb stands for. Although, im very sure that the heat generated from CDMA phones when spoken for long time, does create headaches & dullness. Its not just psychological. -
Just observations: 1) This attack was aimed to also instill fear amongst the 'very rich' of all nationalities who were virtually unnaffected mentally/physically by blasts in Trains, roads, shops etc. happenning around the Globe. Probably this time, it was the reverse as the lower classes seemed directly unaffected. 2) This was aimed at killing many birds with one stone: i) Spreading terror amongst all classes ii) Paralyzing Tourism/Hospitality as ppl will think 2wice before staying in 5/7 stars in near future; especially the affected Hotels iii) Bringing shame to the Indian Govt. & face embarrassment from the International Community for not being able to protect their respective citizens. Remember when Daniel Pearl was decapitated in Pak iv) Attacking Taj in Mumbai as if to attacking Taj in Agra, India v) Further dividing the Rich-Poor with this ideoligy/point of view of theirs & hiding their real agenda. 3) Almost all politicians keeping mum, very well analyzing that the country was angry was not interested in them Politicizing the issue.. Except Narendra Modi.. who came, announced Crores for the brave hearts & then started barking that "i always warned the coastal guards for so & so". It was good that see news channels like Times Now immdtly cut from the scene & said - "we have better things to report as of now". 4) Controversial: The bravery displayed by iether side is commendable & i don't understand why ppl, especially politicians call Terrorism a cowardly act & conveniently hide behind it as an excuse/cover-up for lapses. Their reasons/ideoligy may be different but its wrong to brand such militants as cowards. The idea maybe cowardly but do you know what it takes to actually commit suicide? Yes, its equally wrong to glorify their heroics. Probably, they are doing this just to support their family with loads of money after they become Shaheed in name of Jihaad/Revenge & 'to f**k 77 virgins when they go to heaven'. Anyways we hope that not only NSG/Marco's but our policemen in general are also kept well motivated so that they do not do PhD's in bribes & further fan such attacks knowingly or unknowingly. Remember in '93 blasts RDX was imported through sea route by bribing coastal guards? 5) It was very inspiring to see how our forces were fighting Day & Night, taking it slow as they had to make sure that Hostages are safe/structure doesnt get damaged.. else who could have withstood attacks by rocket launchers carried by them. It has made me sit in front of the TV for atleast 25 hrs of the total 60 hrs of operation if not more.. The entire episode was gripping & very emotional. 6) Me being actually a Mumbaikar, feel that this 'Spirit of Mumbai' thing is just a cliche.. fact is that all this while, over the years of such incidents, the unaffected ppl just carried on with their daily routine to earn their living. Just like when govt. announces public holidays for Martyrs, ppl visit malls/theatres, hardly bothering about the actual significance of that day. But yes, this incident will be etched into hearts because of various reasons we all share, Just like how U.S. was shaken up after 9/11. Such attacks do not happen everyday & will surely go a long way in keeping us united.

@Funky007 The only problem is, that the RSN no here is the RUIM/SIM no. Else in case youre talking about the Phone RSN - only the boxes have the RSN no & not the phone's backside which only carry ESN HEX etc.. Anyways, the doubt here is whether ODR accepts both RUIM no & Original phone RSN no. The Mobile number is stored in the RUIM card & not the phone.. however if this ODR trick still works, it will be great. Probably RComm should have a way of giving Phone RSN's by accepting info like RUIM Card no which was earlier present in it.. Doubt it still..

Hehe.. if they have really rectified the issues so soon, then its really Organised.. I doubt it with Spice.

As i have earlier too advised.. You need to visit the Nokia Website & register your complaint there.. Try to get all Mail Id's-phone nos from the site. Bombard both their International & National Customer Care Mail IDs. Mark them this mail.. mention the name of their ASC & complaint that it helping in spoiling their name further.. In case successful, tell them that its not that we want your direct help for getting repairs done but to make the ASC's & the primary level employess aware of their duties & not just indulge in bullying ladies (TOI article where a female employee committed suicide due to bullying habbits of seniors) They seem to be arrogant as hell.. they deserve hell.

With this statement, he has opened a can of worms against Dayanidhi Maran.. Partner in Crime it seems. Dayanidhi Maran is also from same party i.e. DMK although having bitter relations with MK as on date. Since all have taken bribes from all operators.. in that case, existing operators are plain jealous. The common man is the only one who seems 'plain cheated' with politics of such nature.
