^^^^ what's RSim 10? But fake theory? The cost of sim to a dealer/RMS is just 4 bucks. Usmein bhi fake? Or could it be some compatibility issue with the OS version. The Verizon LG G2 I bought earlier, didn't work with original micro on 4.4, so we updated the OS version to 4.4.2 & went for a new sim (cut-micro) as suggested by seller. Didn't work. Changed many cut-micros in order to test various serial nos, didn't work.. Finally went back to original micro & it started working! Incompatibility due to Carrier types, OS version, sim cut types & serial nos.. This CDMA world is a crazy place for noobs!

Ported from RCDMA to RGSM (INP). Pros: * their ICR tie up with Aircel in Bangalore has helped me take this decision. Now I'm manuallyn on Aircel, not the worthless RGSM network. * No more silly heating issues, battery drain, update problems, apps malfunctioning, which I faced for yrs. * Bought a OnePlus one, which is probably better & much cheaper compared to the latest OMH CDMA offering of HTC E8 in the market. Not mentioning imported handsets here, since all of them will have the same update issues every 6-8 months. Cons* Despite ICR tie up, network is almost 20-30% weaker compared to RCDMA which I find mainly, while travelling within the city.

^^^ in all fairness, that's an 8yr old article. Lets talk about the development/failures of cdma technology in recent times. Of course, their observations Qualcomm, still hold good. Since this forum concerns Indian cdma operators, sadly we have mainly 'Reliance voice services' to talk about which holds maybe 90% of voice market, if I'm not wrong.

True @GG Was once stuck with improper data services on an unlocked cdma LG G2 & was suggested it will work with a modded sim which was insanely priced & 'rare'. Finally, replaced the cut-micro with an original cdma micro sim & it started working like a charm..

All said & done, subscribers who'd had enough of paying a premium for BlackBerry smartphones before MNP, are still shying away from high end official CDMA OMH phones due to a 'premium charged' over their GSM counterparts.. Even if they buy 'officially imported', they're stuck with update issues

Was facing intermittent charging issues since the past 2 weeks.. Came to my notice only after enabling a 'charging notification/sound'. Was struggling to find a solution online & later came to know its a faulty cable which was the culprit. Carries a 3 month replacement warranty. Need to now surrender it at the ASC & wait for a replacement from OpO. Pretty silly they don't keep excess stock.

So, just over a week to go for Delhi elections.. Hope atleast the A team/B team argument has finally been put to rest.. The so-called exposure of Sangh elements like Kiran Bedi during the anti-corruption movement was a rude shock to many. If one can remember, she immediately warmed up to NaMo just before Lok Sabha elections & now this move.. @GG don't think it's a good idea to post invites openly. You'll have a lot of ppl googling from outside the forum or ppl who may sell the same on eBay!

Why not just share the link or invite code instead of going through the buying process on someone else's behalf? They may take on EMI.

I had an app refresh/closure issue due to sim (cut to micro).. You have another bsnl sim related issue. Unfortunately, we don't see anyone else Reporting such sim related issues or solutions. I was about to give this beauty away until I found the issue/solution myself.

Yes, plenty of them.. Check Amazon.in for 1-2 star reviews... Looks like they never googled for the simple solution (UV exposure) as per 1st post & few of them simply returning back the handset. I don't blame them but which other handset can boast of such specs, at even 50% more price?

Those on Amazon.in who have rated it cheaply, justify it, mentioning the supposed discontinuation of CynogenMod updates for india, as per their agreement with Micromax. I found it a bit bizzare earlier on but many of them verify it. So at least we shall get Lollipop on it soon, if not future CynogenMod version updates?

Update: I think i found out the real issue.. I was using this phone as a 'non-sim' phone over Wifi just to check its features. That time i remember, it was working fine. After submitting an MNP application (cdma to gsm), inserted a blank micro gsm sim in anticipation. (BTW, phone comes with both nano/micro adaptors). This is possibly when the app-refresh/closure issue started. Eventually tried deleting all apps & did factory reset twice, without even logging on my Google or Cynagoen Account.. still faced same issue. Since other issues like low call volume was also reported online, thought of checking that as well & inserted a 3-4 yr old working micro sim. To my surprise, the app refresh/force closure issue stopped after doing that. Then i checked phone also without sim, works fine. Then inserted my MNP blank/destination sim again. This time a harmless error comes in the notification panel "No service" which never came when i had inserted this sim earlier. But the phone still works fine. Im therefore suspecting, that this issue was due to blank sim insertion OR sim reading issue. Confused how improper sim reading can make the phone so crazy!

Apart from Contacts (pretty obvious that a google account helps here), there's an app called "Copy my Data" in play store that helps the new phone communicate with your old, through the same Wifi network & you can selectively copy - Contacts, photos, videos & calendar. Whatsapp backup has already been discussed above..
