I don't understand this, not only in India but abroad too PeTA has done it with having hordes of ppl protesting in bare skin.. Ok understood that they do it cause animals don wear clothes, but what are they trying to convey by looking like an animal ! Its so silly that ppl like rakhi sawant paint themselves up and get locked up in a cage to emphasise the topic on tiger extinction.. The ppl at PeTA feel its another feather on their cap, rather she's just plain happy with the added publicity. (the bhaand that she is..) Do the poachers really care about these sights PeTA brings them? The buyers in the social circle only stop wearing cause they fear a public or a media lashing.. Very few ppl actually care about these things cause PeTA tends to over-publicize the cause. (My observations could be wrong.. Just trying to seek answers)

The above point is to be noted very seriously since its no use going for a phone promising so many features but not providing enough time to make use of it.. Not even talking.

Well, I heard the big debate on times now with some guy from PeTA looking very awkward, dogding questions as ppl from the ad world kept ridiculing him. The arguments led by the chairman of AWBI and this PeTA character was that post shoot approvals were not taken and beauracratic rules not followed.. Hardly anything about their feelings as animal lovers. There arguments went on by saying that animals are not natural performers. Earlier too they had issued a notice to a bangalore based ad agency who had feautured a chick in the ad, objection being it was forced to perform. Great!! a small lil chick following human instructions!

Great!! What about the earlier penalties in few hundred crores levied on each service provider due to improper or non-verification of customers? I guess reliance had to pay 300 crores as penalty as per the TOI article.

A phone could slow down, but if it hangs due to overload, its bad.. Yes, there have been issues with this phone and going to the ASC is a good idea to know whether such a thing is normal.

The ruim only carries the mobile no, just like a GSM sim does. Apart from that, it can take up a capacity of 150 to 250 phone book memory depending on the old or new ruim cards. Its a very handy tool therefore in transfering a mobile no and its phonebook memory from 1 ruim based phone to another.. No other 'technical info' is present on it.

Guys, Should have added that the service centres will replace these free of cost since its covered in the warranty period. They will do it without much explanation since they are all aware of the situation.. Once its done, then it shud be fine. Although I agree that its a pain in the brain to get work done in these service centres. They are all associates-dealers and none are direct company outlets. Got answers for all questions. 1) Yes it supports both sides recording without a hint. 2) It also notifies you if somebody has put u on conference without informing you. Look for 'multicall' on the screen. 3) It has the option of blocking calls from specific no's with the blacklist and whitelist options. 4) I don't understand how ppl are expecting to use the phone for net-connect or R-World. Those things only work when both phone and services are of RComm. 5) Phone might hang and give a blank screen sometimes. That's when one needs to hardboot it. Regards, ACS

The guy must be a dealer, else who will buy a 2nd hand pearl for 24K. Second thing, GPS will help ppl in CDMA International Roaming.. where chances of getting lost are more..Simple. But it will come at a high cost eg. Rs. 5 / 10Kb of Data.

I have seen the phone and it looks, very much value for money @ 7.5K. Battery life is also tested and works fine as promised as i know few ppl using it. Also comes with a datacable in the pack itself. It supports upto 2GB Micro SD card but doesn't come with one. (Voice recorder although works only with SD Card, it doesnt even beep while recording !) A very good buy according to me..

No other good phones in this range. Nokia 2505 is dogged with Network/Signal issues. Flip is good when talking for longer time since you will not feel the heat of the battery.

RIM works in very few states like Bihar where it has GSM network and sells GSM BB's. Other states will not support since they have only CDMA towers. The BB 8830 world edition is nothing but a sales gimmick since it supports only GSM SIM's for International Roaming.

But what about security threats like Virus/trojan attacks in Windows based Handsets.. I heard that although there being certain operational limitations, BB's cannot be touched by virus'. It now totally depends on the extent of the phone usage.. Regards, ACS

The LG 3100 is a really good low cost handset. How many ppl have bothered to read behind the battery 'Cell made in Japan', assembled in China. The battery is really long lasting as this Low price.. But offlate their are certain mic. related issues in LG 3000/3100 sets. Regards, ACS

They also claim to have a Built in GPS System which other Rel BB's do not.. Fact is the Rel Network doesn't support GPS Services ! Can you believe the company mentioning GPS as a main feature just as a sales gimmick!

Can the Network also affect the Phone Hardware for eg. mic. There were LG 3000/3100 Phones bought 5months back, few weeks back and few days back.. Few started having a mic. problem just recently within few days.. It also cannot be a Co-incidence since the ASC's have seconded that many ppl had issues.. So if this is true i don't know whats the prob with CDMA network.. As it is the phones become very hot especially in the lower range when talking for long.. Regards, ACS

Problem is that there are no good phones in the LowMedium Range. 1)We have LG 3000/3100 which are doing good except the Mic. problem in some phones.. Rs. 1500/1800 2) The nokia 1325 has battery issues Rs. 2000 3) The Nokia 2505 has network/display issues Rs. 4000 Regards, ACS

Those plans are again diff and charged extra.. Which means you pay Existing rental + BB Plan Rental + Netconnect Rental !

The 8830 World Edition 'Dual Phone GSM/CDMA' name itself is misleading.. It actually works with the Reliance GSM SIM Card provided by the WW/WWE's, only during International Roaming. Its a waste of a phone for Rs. 31,000. The 8703e does an equally good job for normal usage @ Rs. 15000, xcept that there are few differences in dimensions/features etc..

Dear all, Trying to connect lg6600 with parrot 3100 car kit via bluetooth. It does detect it but on putting the password i.e. 0000, it doesn't work. Cust care technical team as well as lg service centre guys are confused.. Plz help.
