Dude, 28.8 Kbps problem is just an ZTE software issue with some machines.It will show normal connection status in other machines,So dont rely on that.Check whether ur getting the average browsing/dowload speed.

Hi guys, I bought a new ZTE USB Modem from Reliance outlet and they promised me a speed of more than 140Kbps. But it connects at the status of 28.8Kbps all the times.It gives very slow response when opening sites. I tried to download a 7.5MB driver file from reliance site.The download startes at the transfer rate of >20KB/s and it suddenly degrades and became stable to 5KB/s.I am experiencing very poor net speed with this.it is showing full signal range and i already installed Net booster s/w.When i checked in reliance site, they mentioned about the 28.8Kbps problem and to solve that we have to upgrade something.But i didn't understand what they exactly mean and how to do that.Pls help me regards-Abu

Friend, have u checked whether ur pc is infected by virus/spyware which blocks ur net? and wats the signal strength in ur location?

May be it was an issue happened in the remote server/network only at that time. If yes, u will be connected next time when u try frm ur native place. Or as u specified anything related to ur a/c settings(roaming). Pls check the common error messages listed in reliance website. http://www.rcom.co.in/webapp/Communication...trouble_err.jsp

When tried to connect from ur native place u got the error.Have u checked by connecting from some other place in the same day? or the problem is only when u visit ur native place? Pls be more specific dude.

I think ... Its due to your Zone and Network. thats ok, but what about firmware upgrade mentioned in rcom website? Does any one face similar issue?
