No No...I can't stop reliance as 90% of my contacts use RIM/FWP.

Hi I am having the lg lsp340e FWP which i have been using for one year. From today morning it is creating a problem. The network(the bars in the top right corner) is suddenly dropped to nil(no bar) while the phone is being used. The network is lost just for a second and it comes again to full strength. But the call will be lost. There was no problem like this earlier. This happened three times today. Any one else is having such probelem?? What is the solution to this?? Bye

That's for their time based plans..of RConnect! For eg: their plan has 20hrs day +20 hrs night ie. 40hrs per month ie for 1 minute it appox to Rs.0.16.

I agree, this is not what we expected from OneIndia plan! These BSNL and MTNL guys doesn't wan their ARPU to be effected. that's why such hike in rentals. OneIndia is truly not going to benifit for average users.

OK So i Got your point! Lets hope that "seconds" billing will be the next major turning point in Indian Telecom. But for it to take place, some operator should start "seconds" billing. Tata started the seconds billing but they reverted back to minute billing. I think BPL mots still provide it.??

1 second pulse will surely be a boo for short talks like 15 seconds or so. But think of long talks- it will be too costly. Consider if we have to pay 3paise per second for 15 secods it will be ust 45p but for 1 minute it will be Rs 1.80 which is very high.

Use the RConnect dialer instead.

For sure, it is some new virus. I am receiving many mails from known contacts with .jpg files(image was not displayed in yahoo) from the past 3 days. When contacted the sender, he said he never send any message. All these are automatically generated. All these mails had ann attachment with extension .mim and also Re: in the subject. This is really a threat to our PC.

Trai has also finalised a consultation paper on the lifetime validity schemes being offered by various mobile service operators and is set to take decision on it within a month, he said. The lifetime validity plans announced by service providers had earlier come under the scrutiny of Trai, with the regulator seeking details of cost, traffic and revenue from service providers. Trai said the lifetime validity tariff plans recently announced by a number of mobile operators, raise the following issues: long term viability and sustainability of these plans, whether lifetime can exceed the balance licence period of the operators and, if not, would the plans vary in their validity duration. It also raised questions on what would happen to the plans in case of substantial changes in the traffic pattern and interconnect user charges regime.

I knew it!! Some thing will come up against the Lifetime offers. That's why i was waiting before jumping into it. I hope it will be cleared by TRAI as almost the entire telecom providers have initiated LTV- even BSNL and MTNL. So lets hope it will stay forever.

Dear Abhay, Since its an old sim card, it is presumably beyond grace period. I assume its a prepaid, b'coz otherwise airtel would be sending monthly bills with the number printed on it.
