There's no way of keeping the display on. Anyway, if you did, it would eat up your battery in no time.

Hi all. I have a RIM phone and an Airtel phone. I have to always carry around two phones in my pocket. Is there any handset out there which can contain both these numbers (CDMA and GSM) so I have to carry only one handset? I know a lot of people out there have the same problem. If anyone knows anything about this, please share the info with us. Thanks all. Prat

I tried this. Under nvm_0000 there is a 4 digit number. Under the entire nvm directory, there is no 6 digit number. All are one, two or four digit no's. None of them is the SPC. I have a 6130 btw

Thanks dude, but please also tell me how to read the SPC using Bitpim. SOmeone said its under the nvm folder. Can you be a little more specific. I can find no 6 digit number under this directory. I hope you have a 6130 coz things dont work the same for all fones.

Hi all. I have been facing too many problems with the USB cable for my 6130. COnstant disconnections when online, sometimes LG Link does not read the USB port and so on. The SW on LG site for Desktop Lite and LG Link is only for Serial ports. The USB SW uses a serial converter for USB. So is it better to use a Serial cable itself?? Please let me know if others have also been facing the same problems. If u have a serial cable, wat are ur experiences? Prat prateeksen@gmail.com

I have been trying to find out the same thing. Also, when I send an MMS to an email, like a photo I have taken with the phone, it goes from my phonenumber@mms.ricmail.com. The subject is 'none'. A lot of people erase the mail without reading it since they dont know who the mail is from, thinking it is either junk or virus. Is there anyway to change your mms settings so that either you name or some subject goes with the mms? prat

Many people with 6130 have this question just as I did. Some people I know keep sending the photos they take to themselves by email, and then download it to their comp. A MASSIVE WASTE OF TIME. Some people will tell you that transferring pics directly from your fone to you PC is not possible with 6130. I was told the same by Reliance customer care and LG Service center in Preet Vihar. THIS IS NOT TRUE. These idiots most of the time dont know half the things about what they are selling. I got to know all this thanks to a smart guy from another LG Service Center, and have been transfering pics directly from my fone to the PC regularly. What you need is the DATA CABLE and the PC Sync and Link software for the handset. You hould get the software with the cable. You can also download it at www.lgmobiles.com. After you install the software, you desktop will show two programs. 1. LG DesktopLite and 2. LG Link. Now use the first to download, or upload information like phone numbers, memos, todo ets from your fone to the PC and vice-versa. Use the second program(LG Link) to transfer pics from ur fone to ur PC. With LG Link, you will have to create a username and password. The password for you fone by default is 0000 (unless you have changed it). If you need more clarification, mail me at prateeksen@gmail.com cheers Prateek
