If MNP within Reliance comes in then we can use a GSM handset instead of being stuck with Reliance CDMA handsets.. while retaining the same number. One should not buy any Reliance CDMA handset in the near future, in that case. Hai na?!

Very true. Same with me. 18500 went down the drain. If you have guts to burn or throw Rs. 18500, only then buy this handset. else even classic is better. I too own a S720 from Reliance. There is ABSOLUTELY no problem of Echo in incoming calls in my handset. does not hang at all. and there is no SYNC issue. Its a pretty neat phone except for two problems: 1> Poor Battery Life (I am just unable to figure out why I am having poor battery life on my phone. Bluetooth is always off. Internet is mostly off. Backlight settings are all set at bare minimum. But other users have posted that they are getting amazing battery life. Some international forum users have also posted poor battery life though. Just cant get this one. 2> Too slippery sliding keyboard. The keyboard keeps sliding every now and then in the pocket. (and no this is not the reason why the battery drains out faster on my handset)

I think 750 bucks for a 4GB sandisk is a v good buy. Just go for it and enjoy. If you try very hard for a cheaper price you might only save 50 bucks or so..

It is available for Rs 18250 to 18500 in Hyderabad. I guess the price must be the same in Chandigarh too ! What price did you buy it for ?
